Dylan Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Weale* Naughton Davies Hobbs Cunningham Abe Wellens King Dyer Bednar Gallagher Subs: Logan, Berner, Vitor, Moussa, Waghorn, Howard, Vassell. *Assuming Kirkland is still injured. I'd stick to the same back four- only change i'd possibly make is bringing Vitor in, but i'd rather see Hobbs stay in the team. Don't think there's any doubt of our midfield 3; can't really drop Abe, King or Wellens. Up front is the real question. I'd definitely start Dyer. I'd also give Bednar one more start; see if he improves. Don't think he would have shone in his first 2 matches after not playing much. If not, I'd like to see Waggy playing that role. Still think Howard should be used a sub; doesn't really put enough effort in closing down defenders when we don't have the ball imo. I'm not the biggest fan of Gallagher, but I'd still start him. Might have a bit of confidence after 2 goals (albeit a penalty and a free-kick), and does have great technique. Just needs to show it more. Sometimes he finds a great ball, but MUST finish his chances; had two great chances at Watford which he should've put away. Think Vassell needs a rest anyway. Was looking tired after about 65 mins on Saturday. Thoughts? I think this match is a must-win after losing on Saturday; a game we really should be winning if we want promotion this season. Being at home, I'm confident we'll come away with all 3 points. We've been playing some great football at the Walkers recently, and if we continue to do that, we should easily brush off a Doncaster side who aren't that good. They've had 3 wins away from home so far this season; being against Preston, Scunny, and Pompey. Their game was postponed this weekend, so will be fresh. They currently sit 12th in the table, 2 points more than us with a game in hand. My prediction: Leicester City 2-0 Doncaster Rovers (King, Abe)
B52 Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Weale Naughton Davies Cunningham Dyer Abe Wellens Gallagher Vassell King - I would love to see him lincing the midfield with Bednar or Howard. The interaction between Dyer, Vassell, King and Bednar would be fun to see also.... Bednar Subs: Logan, Berner, Hobbs, Vitor, Moussa, Waghorn, Howard I want a slightly more offensive touch....... I repeat my last prediction - 5-0 King 2, Bednar, Vassell, Gallagher
Father Ted Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Weale Naughton Davies Vitor Berner Abe King Wellens Gallagher Bednar Vassell Subs: Logan, Hobbs, Moussa, Howard, Dyer, Schlupp, Waghorn.
Guest Bilo Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Fancy a win in this one, we don't look bad at home. 2-1 win.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Dyer in for Gallagher and then otherwise, the same team that played against Watford, only because there isnt any changes that could be done which would make us any better.
TuptonFox Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Dyer in for Gallagher and then otherwise, the same team that played against Watford, only because there isnt any changes that could be done which would make us any better. Gallagher has no reason to be dropped as no matter what way it was got us back in the game even if we didn't win. vitor is fit again so defence could change a little bit maybe.?
Tewy5 Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 City 4 donny 1 get ur money on it should be an easy win king 2 bednar and gally
Wymsey Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Put Moussa on first half then replace him with Gally 2nd half.
B52 Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 what kind of mad logic is this? Some kind of self denial or just mad... My glass is always half full.
LCFCkid Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Weale Naughton Davies Vitor Cunningham Wellens Abe King Dyer Fryatt Gallagher SUBS: Logan, Hobbs, Burner, Moussa, Oakley, Waghorn, Bednar
themotivator Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Some kind of self denial or just mad... My glass is always half full. well i have been known to be a keen advocate of the flying v formation myself. CBs aren't really that important. i reckon we could smash them 5-0 though!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 Gallagher has no reason to be dropped as no matter what way it was got us back in the game even if we didn't win. vitor is fit again so defence could change a little bit maybe.? Did you go to Watford? If you did you would agree that after his performance he has every reason to be dropped, dont let his two goals disguise the fact he had a shite game.

Jackirius Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 2-0 win, (Waghorn 31, Abe 86) I would go with Weale Naughton Davies Hobbs Cunningham AbeWellens KingGallagherWaghorn Bednar When is Kirkland back?
StanSP Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 God knows when Kirkland is back. I wouldn't bank on it being soon given the amount of times he has had a recurrence of a back injury. Anyway, for this game I'll go with 2-0 as well. King and Howard scorers.
Haydos Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 King - I would love to see him lincing the midfield with Bednar or Howard. The interaction between Dyer, Vassell, King and Bednar would be fun to see also.... *linking Kingy just isn't suited to this role though his attacking threat is all about coming from deep and drifting into space others have made for him. With him on the ball further forward it just doesn't give him this option any more (he'll be one of the first to be marked if he's playing the ball anywhere near the area Also, 1 cb? I'm completely lost

I'm completely lost Hrrmmm, linking the midfield with Bednar could suit him because he can do a great job tracking back and forth. He will be in position when Vassell or someone else dragged the defenders apart. He knows where the goal is. And the marking thingy. I believe Sven want players to drift into other positions during the game as Vassell did against Forest. The one who's marking King will be exhausted and confused. If you want 2 cb you can change Cunningham to Vitor.
Tewy5 Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 Let's hope sven gives dyer a run out and rests vassell
The Doctor Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 Leicester City v Doncaster Rovers match preview Leicester City will play host to Doncaster Rovers this weekend, with both looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match - Leicester went down 3-2 at vicarage road to Watford after fighting back from 2-0 down to draw level at 2-2 while Doncaster went down 1-0 at Selhurst park 2 weeks ago, after their game at home to Barnsley on Saturday was called off due to a frozen pitch. Leicester have one real injury worries with the severity of loanee Chris Kirklands back injury unknown, however Aleksander Tunchev is unlikely to be fit enough to make his return from a succession of knee injuries that have reduced him to just 7 appearances in the past two calendar years. Meanwhile Doncaster manager Sean ODriscoll will be delighted to have a full squad to pick from with Billy Sharp fit again. This match promises goals with Leicester only having failed to score in two home games this season and Doncaster not having kept a clean sheet on their travels since a 2-0 win over Preston on the opening day of the season. The form table suggests a Leicester win in this one with the foxes having won four and drawn two of their last 6 home games while Doncaster have lost three, drawn one and won just two of their last 6 games away from the Keepmoat. Predicted Line-Ups Leicester: Weale Naughton-------Davies-------Hobbs------CunninghamAbe------King-----Wellens Gallagher------------------------------------VassellBednar Doncaster: Sullivan OConnor-------Martis-------Thomas-------DumbayaStock--------WilsonOster--------Coppinger--------HayterSharp
davieG Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 As it stands I'll be missing this game as I'm due to go to my nephew's wedding in Sussex, weather permitting so no doubt it'll be a big win or not now that I've said it. Weale Curtis Vitor Naughton-----------------------------Cunningham Abe Wellens Gallagher King Vassell---------- Bednar
danny. Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 I hope we play 2 up front, not sure we have any strikers/forwards who are good enough to play up front on their own bednar/howard + fryatt/waghorn maybe?
Corky Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 Weale Naughton Hobbs Davies Cunningham Abe King Wellens Dyer Bednar Vassell Dyer needs to be given a go, he's a proper winger which we lack when Gallagher plays. Our home form has been impressive lately and if we want to do anything this season we need to be winning these fixtures. 2-0 win.
muzzy1981 Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 Weale Naughton Hobbs Davies Cunningham Abe King Wellens Vassel Bednar Fryatt Matty Fryatt was told to bide his time by Del-boy, I think he should get a look in now that we have better front line for him to play with.
FoxyPV Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 Because we're at home will win this one 4-0 then the moaners will suddenly become zealous pro sven supporters until our next away match where we'll drop points
