Edmund Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 I was at that Leicester drummers house before the game. Hes my mums boyfriends cousin. Nice guy and takes the songs aimed at him well. That drum is fooking annoying tho. He was saying the new owner is buying him a bigger one and hooking it upto speakers around the ground I wonder if LCFC will receive any noise complaints?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Bring it on, owt to make it a more intimidating stadium for opposing fans to visit. Be LOUD be PROUD
MOT Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Shouldn't need a drum to generate atmosphere. You'll start playing music after you score next...
Narborough_fox Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Aye, this is from his Facebooky... quality 2nd half today.. play like that from now on and we will beat anyone in this league. i'd like to thank the new owners for offering to buy me a new drum and speakers and microphones to go with it to project the noise equally throughout the stadium.. if any one has any info on how this would work please inbox me as to where i can get the equiptment from etc, and to how easy/hard it would be to make this possible
Magictv Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Shouldn't need a drum to generate atmosphere. You'll start playing music after you score next... Preaching to the converted here I think mate.
Shrenchel Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Bring it on, owt to make it a more intimidating stadium for opposing fans to visit. Be LOUD be PROUD Either you're being ironic or you're a cvnt. Playing music over the speakers is up there with fluffy kittens and Beadle's little deformed hand in the intimidation stakes. It would be the final nail for any kind of decent atmosphere at the Walkers. Where did you get this anyway Edmund?! Would hope it's some kind of wind-up but who knows anymore. We'd be a fvcking laughing stock.
Babylon Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Shouldn't need a drum to generate atmosphere. You'll start playing music after you score next... Remind me... what was the atmosphere like at your place when we beat you twice this season. If you need any help, it was shit.
Simmo86 Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Shouldn't need a drum to generate atmosphere. You'll start playing music after you score next... And theres me thinking Elland Road isnt a morgue!
MOT Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Remind me... what was the atmosphere like at your place when we beat you twice this season. If you need any help, it was shit. You mean on those Tuesday night 7.45 kickoffs ? Elland Road, particularly at the start of the season, is a morgue. Although lately it has been much better. If you want a detailed explanation of why I would be happy to oblige. And are you sticking up for your little drummer boy or just having a pop for the sake of it And theres me thinking Elland Road isnt a morgue! See my last post
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 No i agree we shouldnt need owt like this to help generate atmosphere but lets be honest its like a library at times at the Walkers until the ref makes a shit decision (like not sending SCHMUCKEL off). Weve got much better and louder fans away (like most clubs before any other sarcy fooker says it)
sbfox Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Tbh, I don't mind the drum, even if it is a bit 'modern'. When we score and Jobber gets most of the East Stand going, it does get the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. Take Forest last season - that was pretty special, no? I don't think a fvcking drum really ruins my Saturday, any more than the prepubescent masses congregating in L1 to wave at the away fans, hidden behind a line of stewards. There's always something to complain about, I don't think making a drum sound louder is any different.
tylesta Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Shouldn't need a drum to generate atmosphere. You'll start playing music after you score next... take it you was not at the walkers yesterday listening to kasabian!!! after the 2 goals
SMX11 Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Shouldn't need a drum to generate atmosphere. You'll start playing music after you score next... You'll start beating Leicester next
tylesta Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 from what i here on here (not all) like the half season ticket thread, we need to get behind the team winning or losing no drum should be needed imo filbert st didn't and no matter what the scoreline was you could gurantee walking out with a mega headache. the drum hooked up to surround sound no thanks <_<
MOT Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 take it you was not at the walkers yesterday listening to kasabian!!! after the 2 goals Ouch. Not cool. One of Kasabian is a Leeds fan anyway The bassist I think. You'll start beating Leicester next Don't be silly
tylesta Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Ouch. Not cool. One of Kasabian is a Leeds fan anyway The bassist I think. Don't be silly so you wasn't there then
MOT Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 so you wasn't there then Couldn't, I work boxing day.

We'd be a fvcking laughing stock. Valid. The drum can compliment the singing as I felt it did at Bristol the other week, but that's all it should do. If a few more fancied opening their lungs a bit at home this sort of rubbish wouldn't be an issue...
thybluefox Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 I'd say the drum is the least if our problems - singing that fvcking Derby, forest, coventry song against any other team other than coventry is just retarded. Keep the drum, you can all moan that we shouldn't need one to create an atmosphere, but the fact is we do.

Fully agree on that Coventry song though. Just ridiculous.

In an ideal world aye, it'd be wonderful to have a kop & east stand that could sing unprompted and in unison, but unfortunately I doubt that's going to happen any time soon. So - we've got to use what we can I reckon.
Jakemoore Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Our travelling support is awesome, spine tingerling at times. But at home, we're kinda quiet.
Father Ted Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 You mean on those Tuesday night 7.45 kickoffs ? Elland Road, particularly at the start of the season, is a morgue. Although lately it has been much better. Yeah, it's called part-timers.
