Father Ted Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 First goal: Cunningham should have done better. Naughton could have attacked the ball. Who was tracking that Morison? Kirkland could have also done better. Second goal: In the words of Alan Hansen: Absolutely shocking! And what a dirty tackle by Dunne.
sdb Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Not sure about the red tbh, 2nd goal embarrassing.
CKB Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Awful defending for the second goal and as for that tackle? you dirty scummy bastard!!!!
Jimothy Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Not sure about the red tbh, 2nd goal embarrassing. Are you seriious? Two footed jumping in. It's a nailed on red. Disgusting tackle.
Edmund Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 That tackle did look nasty. Looked like the ref got it spot on with the red. Poor poor defending for both goals.
CKB Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Poor poor defending for both goals. Especially the second, i've seen that kinda defending on the park on a Sunday morning!
sdb Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 When i say i'm not sure, i mean it literally, not as in it def wasn't a red. Yes a lunge but hard to tell if there's any realistic chance of contact, although on 2nd viewing it is pretty bad.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Yes Cunningham, wading in after the tackle wanting to smash some Millwall guy up like its the 80s!
themotivator Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 first goal shouldnt have happened but wouldnt have been easy to prevent. 2nd goal was embarrasing. dangerous tackle. dirty git. loving gregs angry charge!
Father Ted Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Yes Cunningham, wading in after the tackle wanting to smash some Millwall guy up like its the 80s! That's one thing I like about him. Full commitment, which is what we need more of.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 That's one thing I like about him. Full commitment, which is what we need more of. Same mate, out of all the on loan players, I rate him the highest.
lildave3 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 The tackle was freaking terrible, a really dangerous and stupid challenge and blatant red Wasn't as disgusting as the defending though.
Mikey Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Hobbs for the second goal makes me feel sick. That challenge is just bad.
Haydos Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 The defending for both of those goals was worse than abysmal. If we continue like that we are gonna have a serious battle on our hands. Our tendency to ball watch and dire marking in general is becoming more apparent every game i see. Experience is NEEDED soon and they have got to be working on their awareness in training. Fvcking discusting challenge, it looks like he's genuinely trying to break both his legs. Not sure there was much contact but what a fooking scumbag. Should be banned for 10 games, just like any other challenge of that nature.
reeceh_lcfc Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Hobbs for the second goal makes me feel sick. That challenge is just bad. My thoughts exactly regarding Hobbs. No excuses for hesitating like that.
lcfc_jme Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 As I said in the post match thread, our defending was worse than pathetic, but the challenge on Wellens was completely out of order and no doubt if it was on a player of a "big 4" side, it'd be all over SSN and being condemned left, right and center. Just awful.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 At least with defending like that the parent clubs of our premiership loanees won't be recalling them any time soon. I actually can't watch the second goal again; I am embarrassed that other people have seen it on the tv.
lee(lcfc) Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 our defence are s*** come on sven sort them out we shouldnt keep letting goals in and dont let kirkland play next game he crap
KFS Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Their shit because 2/4 defenders are out next week. No commitment, disgusting. Makes me wonder if Cunningham thinks he's staying, he looks so much more up for it than our perm players. Either that or he's a bloody good lad.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 The goals look even wrse there then they did yesterday. School boy defending really.
Bugg Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 our defence are s*** come on sven sort them out we shouldnt keep letting goals in and dont let kirkland play next game he crap What did he do wrong? Edit - well apart from let two goals in, but they weren't really his fault.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 What did he do wrong? Edit - well apart from let two goals in, but they weren't really his fault. Kirkland was shite yesterday. He should take some responsibility fro both gaols, though he was not at main fault. He doesnt communicate with any of the defence, and every time he went near the ball you get a feeling he is going to do soemthing stupid and mess up. If you went yestersday you would have heard the fans chanting Weale's name before half time, and when Weale came on that was the biggest cheer of the game.

Shit defending is not his fault. Naughton was at fault for the first. Turned his back on Morrison, the second was hesitant defending.
