lcfc"weasel" Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Was funny to be honest. I couldn't breathe for laughing. we were to the left, right near the netting. Every decent song came from the right i'm afraid to say, too much of banging on the back and having ago at there fans and not enough of actually supporting your team in my opinion.
Super_horns Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 By which team? Hull I take it. Wouldn't be the first time..I remember they played QPR after the 7/7 attacks and weren't too nice then. Sure it was the usual "minority" though. Good win BTW.

Glad you felt that way. It was funny.
Mee Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Good team performance, glad we finally got another 3 points on the road. Preston up next (away wise) so there is 3 points up for grabs. The Hull fans were awful, to many bad heads I think! Had a good day out though, I enjoyed it.

I don't think the players really listen that closely to our chants tbh. As long as you're making noise they will notice it as support, If I was a player I'd rather the fans chant abuse (not racial obviously) at the opposition fans than nothing at all

Not saying this happened a lot today, jsut saying

Not saying this happened a lot today, jsut saying Mate, I totally get what your saying, I mean I was in the 'banging' group, and I throughly enjoyed it. Obviously everyone would rather hear 'Oh when the blues' sung slowly than 'Your support is fooking shet', but let's be honest, noise is noise.

Only done when the ball is out of play so you know, not missing any of the action. I'm also pretty certain that when you're singing "who are ya" you point at the opposition fans and stare at them, trying to intimidate them.

Having banter, exchanging a few signs and chants with the home fans not in the Fosse Boys Philosophy? Frowned upon?
lcfc"weasel" Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Having banter, exchanging a few signs and chants with the home fans not in the Fosse Boys Philosophy? Frowned upon? Witty banter and trying to outsing the opposition fans is great and what we love, as long as it's traditional songs. Both singing virtually the same song, bar one or two of the lyrics at 100x an hour, is just plain crap. Edited due to a typo.

To, We're the left side? Chances are, The left side chant probably gets more people involved. Why do you resent some of the chants may I ask? We like to sing our own things, and you Fosse Boys sing yours?

Because they show absolutely no respect for tradition or heritage. Also, they do not support in anyway whatsoever for the team we're supposed to support. That would just create a them and us situation with two songs coming from the one set of supporters which sounds absolutely cringeworthy.

Well maybe some people find that dancing thing abit cringeworthy and daft. Does that show any respect to the traditions or heritage of Leicester City? Its having a good time mate. You need to stop critisizing the support as much. Let your hair down, have a good time. We go to the football to support our team, and have a good time. Not moan everytime, Yuki Abe ate my dog, or We're the left side, even 'Who are ya?' is sung.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Good WIN by the sounds of it, i had to go to work so i was only able to listen to bits but we sounded comfortable and it certainly wasnt a smash and grab raid. Well done LEICESTER CITY, bravo bravo

I don't moan whilst at the game, if a song is being sung I disagree with, I just stand until it's finished and try and start a song I do agree with.

I respect what the Fosse Boys try to do but a lot of the time they comment as if they are above the rest of us, as if we are just a bunch of morons. I enjoy most chants, some not so much. But just because I don't like them doesn't mean I am a better fan than the people chanting the stuff I don't like. The most important thing is to make noise IMO. If it's silent I'm not having much fun, and the players don't feel as if we are behind them. I don't think they are pissed off that we sing left side, right side - I hardly think they think it divides the fans. In fact that chant is quite the opposite, it's a fun chant where the supporters are just having a laugh. Personally I have nothing against that chant, I really don't think the team feels we are not supporting them when we sing it. Sometimes it's good to have a sense of humour at the football.

Well why moan on here then? People critisize the atmosphere at places like the Walkers, then they moan about the songs being sung. It doesn't make sense.
