Bryn Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 I thought Morrison was very good today, one late error aside.
lestajigs Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Dint wanna get carried away but we could end up taking 9points from next 3 games, Swansea H Preston A millwall H
sphericalfox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 I don't see the injury as being a chance for Berner, Sven clearly doesn't rate him, Cunningham was nevr going to sign anyway. Sven will hopefully be looking for a new permanent Left Back and 2 centre halfs and I'd still sell Morrison, too many fook ups this season to keep him because he's had one decent game. I think we'll be looking at 2 LBs and 1 centre half. We clearly have Bamba and a young Mee joining us. Morrison and Berner will be going. Morrison played well against a poor attacking Hull side. They aren't bringing in strikers because they are knocking them in right now.
pjfox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Good result - feel sorry for Cunningham, hope he gets better soon. ... and DO NOT SELL MORRISON!! We should keep hold of Morrison, him & Hobbs looked good today
Sylvie85 Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Thought we deserved the win, first half thoroughly dominated, second half was two poor sides, should have been way out of sight. Thought naughton was our best player today, although quite a few had good games.
scott_gunnell Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 where are all the doubters now hey?? fickle bastards MASSIVE 3 POINTS !! . The doubters will be back when Leciester lose a game my freind. You will always have the fan that thinks a team is the best when they win or the worst when they lose. Only fair to judge overal and overal it would seem we have a real shot at the play offs ))) Great result for Sven and Leicester. Fingers crossed the home form continues and fingers crossed again that this can turn the away form around.
Simonb Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Great start to the new year. Well done Sven and the boys. Finally we kept a clean sheet away from home, although it sounded like we should've made the game more comfortable after missing chances again. Let's not get carried away though, Swansea will be a tough game. Agree Swansea wont be easy, especially with their pacey wingers against Bruno. However, they will start taking chances soon and we don't need to worry about this yet as we need the points first, and thats what we did today..... if can take a 1-0 against swansea with loads of missed chances again we won't be complaining as its still back to back wins. Just hope we can carry this on as after Swansea we have quite a good looking fixture list for 4 or so games to get some points on the board, as 5 teams can go above us now due to games in hand. I'm sure Sven can push us up there now, do need a striker asap though to even up the goal difference a bit as it will be a close league.
Leicfox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Racist chanting at the game............ ****ing hell, are we really that backwards? At half time I thought about popping on here and congratulating everyone on not joining in with the one moron who insisted on trying to start a "You're just a small town in Baghdad", but yeah unfortunately there were a fair few who joined in in the second half, as for the guy who had a Bin Laden mask, I'd have kicked the piece of **** out, I just wish the police weren't influenced by the crowd.Seriously, I hope we get fined and this sort of **** ends, it reflects badly on the club and the city in general.
shailen Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 This win is only good if we manage to get a result against Swansea. We need to go on an unbeaten run now for around 5/6 games minimum if we are to look for promotion realistically.
North-LondonFox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 A win? Cue: ridiculous over-optimism about automatic promotion until the next defeat. One Match Syndrome - we all suffer from it, we're relegation candidates after a loss and promotion hopefuls after a win!
Narborough_fox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Racist chanting at the game............ By which team? Hull I take it.
BrummieFOX Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 and as you can see, it was mental in our end!!!!
MC Prussian Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Hull is a shithole, the KC Stadium probably the prettiest building in the entire city. The Hull City fans reflect that shittyness by coming up with some of the most retarded chants I've ever heard at a football match. Brains probably not big enough to come up with something smart or witty, so they revert to the same old, same old racist attitude that seems to be passed on from generation to generation up there. The atmosphere from the home side was shambolic - you know what a library sounds like, Hull top that times ten. We should've, could've scored more than just one goal. The Tigers were that bad, never looked interested in winning. Probably still too hung over from New Year's. We were pretty much in total control of the match from start to finish. I think the team as a unit put in a real good effort today, sound performance all around. Vassell up front on his own proofed to be a winning formula once more. When they showed the line-ups before kickoff, Bednar still featured in the starting eleven. Glad Sven made a smart move. Substitution-wise, I feel for poor Greg Cunningham after being taken out through this horrendous tackle by Rosenior. The lad was truly in pain, the way he raised his arm straightaway said it all. Berner has got to stay and I hope he will. Sort of a "funny" way of making your way back, but Cunningham's injury might be what Bruno needed. Keep him at all costs. Morrison, contrary to the show on Tuesday, was in total sync with Hobbs this time around. Our back four were brilliant. Can't say much about the midfield, I liked the way Abe worked his socks off alongside Wellens. King disappeared off the radar for most part once more. The only sour grapes that I have today is with Paul Gallagher, who simply cannot come up with a decent game these days. Lazy bastard, can't tackle, can't run (fast enough), looks hardly ever interested in cooperating. His reaction time is below everybody else's. Had a great opportunity to shoot at the goal in the second half, but chose to hesitate and pass it on instead of going for it. And Sven should've brought on another striker once Hull were down to ten men. Conceded a few corners towards the end and it made everybody nervous. Would we be able to cling onto this lead? Again, we failed to convert some clear-cut chances, but at least contained the opposition. Bring on the Swansea and get on a bloody winning streak going. Use the momentum and all that.
WardyisPukka Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 What u on with, so who ain't been pissed off with our away form prior to this?????? Stop bringing up shit, and enjoy the win!! Well done lads I wasnt talkin about our away form I was talking about some so called fans that start the stupid threads on how we cud slip into a relegation battle or questioning sven and whether hes the right man for the job!!
Guest ttfn Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Just saw the tackle on SSN. Didn't think it was that bad - the Millwall one on Tuesday was far worse. Goes to show a lot of breaking your leg is due to bad luck rather than the "quality" of the tackle. Just read what Sven had to say on the matter too: The former England coach added: "It is important to say that as far as Rosenior was concerned, it was not stupid."It was bad luck and he didn't mean to do it, so there should be no shadow over him." You wouldn't get Arsene Wenger saying that. I love :sge:
Wymsey Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 I fully agree with what Alex has said having been there.
lovelcfc Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Just got back. Great win hope greg makes a fast recovery abit nervous at the end but a BIG 3 points :sge:
Guest Mee-9 Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Racist chanting at the game............ Oh chill his beans. Was funny to be honest. Well I found it, sorry if it offended anyone, but it was abit out of the norm to see a guy jumping up and down with his Bin Laden mask on. Anyway. Our part was good, we were to the left, right near the netting. Load of us lads, few mates, got most of the stuff going. As for the match. Hull were atrocious, we made them look awful in the first half. I can almost guarentee, Pearson's half time team talk mentioned the phrase, 'Get stuck in' Good day anyway Nice to see Liamlcfc, Asha, Few other people from here. Coach 3 was a laugh, the long delay due to something to do with the airbags made it even funnier. And I swear I saw Ultra taking a cheeky look at the engine.
MeatyLCFC Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Fandabbydosey win today much needed 3 points away finally! roll on monday
accessory Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Hull is a shithole, the KC Stadium is probably the prettiest building in the entire city. The Hull City fans reflect that shittyness by coming up with some of the most retarded chants I've ever heard at a football match. The atmosphere from the home side was shambolic - you know what a library sounds like, Hull top that times ten. This. You'd never gues that it was Hull's biggest crowd of the season and they'd just had an eight-game unbeaten run. The KC today made our home crowd sound like Galatasaray in a frenzy after a derby win. And their East stand contains some of the most moronic lowlife I've seen in a stadium for a long time, of a type no longer seen at Millwall, Leeds or even Forest. The racist chants were vile enough, but the gleeful cheering as Cunningham was stretchered off brought vomit to many a City throat.. This x 2. Gallagher had another awful game and should be rested on Monday. Waghorn showed when he came on for the last 20 minutes what was possible with the right attitude and commitment. With a little more form and confidence we could and should have put four or five past Hull today. But credit in particular to Weale, Hobbs and Morrison for a solid defensive display which showed their old boss what he's missing.. Bring on the Swansea and get on a bloody winning streak going. Use the momentum and all that. Amen to that.. Best wishes to Greg Cunningham for a full recovery. He was clobbered in the first half by a foul far more malicious than the one that broke his leg, yet the Hull player escaped unpunished..
MC Prussian Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 I'd say Leicester are the best team I've seen at the KC so far this season. http://www.ambernectar.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6612
maddog Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 A professional performance today. Just need that killer instinct up top and we would have had another goal or two. Great finish from Vassell. As poor as Hull were, we passed it around very slickly at times, kept the ball well, and never put ourselves under much pressure (Hull certainly didn't for the whole game) A clean sheet and an away win. 2 out of 3 isn't bad DavieG. One day we will score from a corner again, one day.......... But despite the shite atmosphere, i've never heard a 20k+ home crowd so quiet, our fans were also pretty mute. A bit of tiredness from the night before i reckon, still an enjoyable trip mainly down to the win, that was the most important thing today.
Bert Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Dint wanna get carried away but we could end up taking 9points from next 3 games, Swansea H Preston A millwall H We could also take 0.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Glad we got a win on the road, sod's law it was a game I couldn't make though. Oh chill his beans. Was funny to be honest. Well I found it, sorry if it offended anyone, but it was abit out of the norm to see a guy jumping up and down with his Bin Laden mask on. What's the joke?
