h1210 Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 Shame, very good signing for Wednesday. Glad to see him give it his best the last couple of matches for us even though he knew he was on his way out, the true sign of a good professional.

Find out you're not going to be starting every week so spit your dummy out and demand a move instead of fighting for your place!! And SGE asked him to delay his move as we are short Sunday but he wouldn't!! True pro??????

Far Post Gerry Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Decent player, but I think Sven's looking at the long-term picture. If he didn't think Morrison would make the grade, then fair enough - he's brought in replacements he thinks will. Pretty standard policy! Let the lad move on and play regularly.
Guest Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Pity. Always rated Morro. Weds have got themselves a decent player there IMHO. Best of luck to him
breadandcheese Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Am I the only onw who finds it annoying when a player is looked down upon for being a "championship level player"? We've got some foreign owners and SGE and suddenly there's this "we're too big for the championship" attitude. We are a championship club and we're not going to attract huge superstars to us.
escos Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Yeah because it wasn't like he was told he was surplus to requirements or anything. Fooking hell So then clever bollocks, if he was told that why was he asked to stay and rethink his decision????
davieG Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Cambridge United are set for a five-figure windfall following Michael Morrison’s sale from Leicester to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday. Seems like they need it as well with the fans looking to take over the club. http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Sport/Cambridge-United/Us-boosted-by-Morrison-sale.htm?
Haydos Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 So then clever bollocks, if he was told that why was he asked to stay and rethink his decision???? ....Because he wasn't happy with being on the bench. If players don't want to 'fight for their place' then I suppose it's disappointing but I'm always understanding.

Surely Cambridge would only get a percentage of a profit, meaning we must have sold him for more than we paid. Do we know what we paid?
AaronH Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 sold 2 players in jan and in their debut both score
The Doctor Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 sold 2 players in jan and in their debut both score morro didn't, clinton morrison scored for weds not michael.
SWFC-36 Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Hi just on my way back from bristol,Morrison was immense today very powerful in the air and in the tackle looks like a fantastic buy for us,some saying a future captain when we manage to offload Purse. Good luck against City tomorrow,I will be watching should be a cracker .
surrifox Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 he will do well for you, good in the air and OK-ish on the ground but no great powers of distribution. Also stays fit, handy at set pieces - what's not to like! Good luck for the season
