No more transfer activity please Sven

The signings that Sven has made so far have all been top notch, especially Bamba and Yak. But I now think that we have a more than capable team in:

Weale, Naughton, Bamba, Hobbs, Berner, Abe, King, Wellens, Dyer, Yak, Vassell. Not to mention our strong bench.

I don't want it to reach the stage where our core team of last season is slowly replaced because they are easily capable. Team spirit can be hit if there are too many loanees. I also think that if none of these loanees stay, then we will be in the lurch afterwards. Not to mention our wage bill.

So Sven, unless you are either getting the loanees on permanent, or have a real star lined up, please focus on keeping our best current players including not loaning out Waghorn to another championship club!

Whats everyone else's thoughts? :dunno:

I don't think this would be a talking point if we didn't have so many poor players around in the squad. Neilson, Oakley, Howard, N'Guessan, Lamey, Moussa, Moreno, Logan offer nothing and all need moving on. I can't even see any of those making it at another Championship club.

But regardless of that we still need another midfielder, if anything happened to Wellens King or Abe we have to call upon Oakley, and we don't want that.

The defence is looking great now but we still need a better keeper than Weale, in my opinion.

I personally think, too many, is better than not enough. Although, too many can cause unrest for players who aren't playing - as surely a "loan" player won't come into a new club to sit on the bench. Adding to our already decent side isn't going to hinder us.

Another Winger, Keeper and Maybe another Striker.

My thoughts are that Sven knows what he is doing, the results have improved, the quality of football has improved and so we should generally keep our noses out, especially those who question Sven.

People on here have got to stop being sentimental... Yea last season hobbs berner fryatt and co were good but what were after now(promotion) we need quality, I trust Sven knows what he's doing and he's building one hell of a team to help us achieve are goal, if he chooses to bring in 1,2 or 5 mire players I gaurentee they will be of better quality than what we've already got and will only benefit the team

I'm sorry i've seen Moussa's named in a few threads now ppl slagging him off , Have i missed something ?????. Everytime i have heard or seen him play he as seemed promising apart from one sub appearance where he was poor now all of a sudden he is a waste of space .

Is this the way our beloved club is going that one poor showing and you are cast out ?? if so i am ashamed to be a fox :(

?? Where were you last year? Do the play-offs not lead to promotion? Idiot.

We finally have a manager who I trust with regards to player judgement. If people aren't getting in the team then it is obviously for a reason.

If players like Neilson and Howard are being replaced with Naughton and Yakubu then i'm not even gonna slightly complain. Football is football.

I was probably a bit hasty including him alongside those other players, I agree that he has shown some promise but doesn't look quite ready and with no reserve team, a loan deal would be good for him.

Defo need a midfielder and a striker. If we get a couple of injuries we have to rely on the likes of Oakley and Howard. We're not going to reach the play offs with them in the starting 11 IMO.

Would like to see some up and coming players bought, Austin, Pilkington...............

I agree with this, though the problem is Sven's always said he will only get players who he thinks are good enough for the first 11, not the bench. This will result in good players like Hobbs and Waghorn being benched and eventually leaving. So we'll still have a crap bench.

Not sure about Weale, I think he's been much better since the turn of the year and I think he's good enough for now.

Weale must be the unluckiest goalie in this division, if not the league.

Every week the poor sod gets beaten, from distance, by a 'screamer of a shot' that 'no goalie could have stopped'.

How unfortunate, unless of course it's down to the opposition knowing he's shite with long range efforts and telling their players to shoot on sight.

Then Sven use the money to buy players happy to be in a winning team.

Agreed, but given time he'll fill the bench.

No player as good as Waghorn or Hobbs will want to sit on the bench, unless they are poor professionals

I don't see why players who want to play football are labelled as having an attitude by some

Yea i think a loan would be for the best imo i think he could be very good a deserves a chance to show it he is only a young lad after all. The others I agree with you on tho , we need to trim the fat ( No Logan pun intended :D ) before to many more come in

No goalkeeper in the world would have saved that shot on Saturday

The defence shouldn't have let him shoot in the first place. Maybe that's why we conced long rangers.

In response to the stuff about Moussa.

In my eyes, he isn't a Championship player, but keep him a few seasons, he might just well become a championship player.

When were an established Premier league team that is.
