Dominici's missed try - '99 World Cup?

vs. Italy 2004. Waltzed over carrying it one handed and dropped it with no one around him.

Also, what the fuck. Just because your lousy Scottish anthem is a funereal dirge, no need to play ours about ten times too slow. Cringeworthy. Crowd still got in to it.

PS: Shouting "England" between lines is doubly embarrassing.

Scotland were atrocious today. Their handling was absolutely abysmal. I had to turn it over as I was so embarrassed for them.

As much as he's a terrific character, Chabal has to be one of the most overrated players in the game. He had an immense Six Nations a few years ago but he's just been completely ineffective since. People just know what's coming and he rarely gets the major yardage anymore.

His ball skills are woeful.

i guess thats the closest to a 'well done good performance and you stopped a dangerous team from scoring a try 'as we will get from you....

Decent form going into the world cup for England. Dont think we will get passed the Semi's tho... All depends which New Zealand turn up tho... notoriously underperform at World cups...

What? That was posted about fifteen or twenty minutes into the match when France were all over you. Chabal is terrible.

As for the performance, if you don't think that was England's (and France's for that matter) worst display of the Six Nations so far then I think you might be blind. I didn't come on here spouting how dreadful the match was for exactly that reason, you don't want to hear it and there's no point. But if you're going to basically ask for it...!

Let's be fair, it was a diabolical game of rugby and the French choked. I'm not saying the English defensive effort wasn't reasonable but you're absolutely kidding yourself if you think you did more damage to France than France did to themselves. The error count was SPECTACULARLY high and most of it was completely unforced. England's wasn't much better.

I hold my hand up and say you deservedly beat us in Cardiff and you were very impressive against Italy. But yesterday? Jesus wept I wanted to not be a rugby fan.

whilst the error count was high , rain= slippery conditions + slippery ball..

I dont get why people assume Rugby should always be a fast flowing passing game. Rugby has never been one dimensional and never will be. It was never intended to be. The forwards play a HUGE part in the game and even more so in conditions like that.I LOVED watching the titanic tussle between the packs, the crunching tackles. the forwards driving forward and stealing the turn overs at the rucks... then again i used to play as a hooker myself That to me was very exciting. Unfortunately your post here has shown a huge lack of understanding about what Rugby is all about....

Ugh, spoken like a true, troglodyte Englishman.

But beyond that completely inaccurate. I was a Tigers season ticket holder for four or five years, believe me I've seen plenty of heavily forwards-orientated games and a hell of a lot of great forwards play - the ABC club, Johnson and Back in their primes, the always underrated Ben Kay.

But yesterday was a dire advert for the Six Nations. We're not just talking about handling errors, we're talking about awful decision making and some terrible, basic fundamentals - from both sides.

But more importantly, an England win? :P

Still, there's a long way to go in it all yet.

They did well to win, yeah, and as I said, they played well in Cardiff and against Italy. Credit where it's due, they've been playing some good rugby and Johnson's genuinely answering his critics.

But not every game is going to be a thriller and some are just dog, yesterday was one of them.
