gibwarrior1988 Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 And it was Hobbs who gave away a penalty against Man City and should have been sent off. Neither proves anything other than occasionally a defender will inevitably concede a penalty. He had a bloody aweful match, how quickly people can forget. Im sure if he has another bad one tonight everyone will then be on here saying that they would have picked Hobbs or tried Berner in the middle.
lcfcsnow Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 Thank god Yeates isn't playing, he'd have a field day with Weale in goal.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 Thank god Yeates isn't playing, he'd have a field day with Weale in goal. I thought the sae thing. One free kick and that would be it.

He's a human not a fooking machine. Give him a chance!
STUHILL Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 Yeah, it was Mee's left foot that gave away the penalty in the first 2 minutes against Millwall. I hope his selection doesn't come back to haunt us. Yes yes I quite agree... Lets drop everyone who ever gives away a penalty!!!
okie fox Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 And it was Hobbs who gave away a penalty against Man City and should have been sent off. Neither proves anything other than occasionally a defender will inevitably concede a penalty. But Mee was naive.

He can develop in the next year or so into a player more suitable for Sven.
Simmo86 Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 But Mee was naive. He took a bad touch and paid for it. Not like Hobbs has been a rock this season. Cost us 3 points at Preston and gave away a Pen against Man City! Should never play for us again blah blah blah!
B52 Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 But Mee was naive. OK, did we loose when Mee played? We should have lost by five goals, probably own goals too, if the match by Mee was as bad as a few talk about.
davieG Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 But Mee was naive. And Hobbs was downright clumsy. Anyway my point was you can't judge a persons inclusion or not on their conceding a penalty.

MikeyT Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 Marcus Bent not scored a goal for 3 years! Cue a hat trick tonight for him.

People saying give Mee a chance, why the hell dont we give Hobbs a chance with the new partner, we know he has the potential. And no he wont develop being on the bench every week, and probably wont be at the club if he wants first team football in order to progress.
davieG Posted 1 February 2011 Posted 1 February 2011 Never mind Hobbs/Mee let's hope Naughton turns up tonight unlike when we played them at home where he looked like he'd prefer to be wearing a Sheff U shirt.

I doubt it. Hobbs can learn much more under Sven and the players around him.
