drc Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 If I have the correct stats Wellens have 4 yellow card and could therefore be suspended one game if he gets another beofore the end of february (is that the correct rules ?) Otherwise i don't think anyone close to the staring eleven is in any danger (Bruno have 3 me thinks).
Wymsey Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 5 yellow = 1 game ban (don't know if its immediately the next game)
OmnipresentSam Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 I didn't think time came into the equation? I thought it was just throughout the entire season? I may be wrong though.
StanSP Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 From the FA's own website 7. OmnipresentSam Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 I was wrong about the February thing, hah
drc Posted 2 February 2011 Author Posted 2 February 2011 you can see the stats here http://footballstats.telegraph.co.uk/LeagueRankings10.aspx?SeasonID=105&Type=1 Tio: sort by position and you can see nuber of yellow cars below 5. Richie is high up there in fouls received and fouls conceeded also. otherwise I read this (I'm not sure if it's the same rules today ) Disciplinary systemAll yellow cards from the previous season are wiped out. However, any outstanding suspensions from the previous season due to red cards must be served at the start of the season (this did not apply to any Reading player for the 2007/08 season). Any period of suspension for a red card will commence with the next game. Any period of suspension for a yellow card will commence on the 7th day after the last offence (for example, if a player gets his fifth booking on a Saturday, any suspension would start from the following Saturday). For disciplinary purposes, first team games and reserve games are treated separately. The only exception is that a player receiving a red card for violent conduct or serious foul play will be banned from all competitions until the relevant number of first team games have been missed. Periods of suspension are as follows: 5 yellow cards - suspended for one match if accumulated before the last day of February (otherwise a warning) 10 yellow cards - suspended for two matches if accumulated before the second Sunday in April (otherwise a severe warning) 15 yellow cards - suspended for three matches 20 yellow cards (and every multiple of five thereafter) - punishment decided by disciplinary hearing Red card for two yellow cards - suspended for one match Red card for denying a goalscoring opportunity - suspended for one match Red card for offensive language or gestures - suspended for two matches Red card for violent conduct or serious foul play - suspended for three matches Suspensions for red cards are increased by one game for each red card received earlier in the season.
AmyLGK Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 Ok ok ok hang on there - I'm confused with the following: 5 yellow cards - suspended for one match if accumulated before the last day of February (otherwise a warning) SO - if someone gets 4 yellows before the end of Feb then they are free after Feb to pick up another 5 before anything happens? Hmmm ok!
cc_star Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 If he is going to get a 1 game ban I'd say Barnsley is not a bad time to pick one up, so he misses the home game against Bristol City and is back for Derby away
Simmo86 Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 If he is going to get a 1 game ban I'd say Barnsley is not a bad time to pick one up, so he misses the home game against Bristol City and is back for Derby away Derby is before Brizzle City
lestajigs Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 Wellens needs to be good for Barnsley then coz we don't want mr derby (Oakley), for the sheep game because this time he might end sucking there ram masscot off or something!!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 Wellens needs to be good for Barnsley then coz we don't want mr derby (Oakley), for the sheep game because this time he might end sucking there ram masscot off or something!!! Dont talk shit. I hope Wellens can hold on until the end of February so we dont lose him. We have had a good disciplinary record this season, hopefully that continues and we dont lose anyone, especially Wellens.
drc Posted 26 February 2011 Author Posted 26 February 2011 so this is the game we need Wellens to stay away from being booked !
