Liamlcfc1 Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Dont know if this has been posted yet sorry if it has http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/steveclaridge/2011/02/claridge_kicks_off_13.html
h1210 Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 About 3:30 in for those who can't be arsed to listen to Claridge for too long
Corky Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Claridge is spot on, talks about his best attributes. A lot of sense in what he says.
VinceNoir Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 "One way or another, Leicester will get promoted in the very near future" ... Love that.
Ric Flair Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 I actually wonder whether there's a better finisher in the Championship than King and that's both strikers or midfielders. He is obscene in front of goal. 13 goals, another 5 harshly disallowed and not a penalty or free kick amongst them. If he was to take set pieces like a lot of goal scoring midfielders do then you'd be looking at a 25/30 a season player from midfield. Frightening. Not bad for a lad who apparently doesn't do anything other than score the odd goal.
richardsfoxes Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Its because he doesnt always produce those killer balls like richie does, thats why people assume he doesnt do much, when in actual fact, when he gets the ball he passes it and keeps it simple, i cant remember the last time Andy lost the ball. - Defently got a rare ability for a Midfielder to score goals, whether he can do it in the premiership is another story, hopefully he'll get his chance with us.
SamFox Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 "One way or another, Leicester will get promoted in the very near future" ... Love that. If we don't get promotion through the play-offs this season and Sven sticks around I would put a lot of money on us getting automatic promotion next season.
Captain... Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Stats don't lie, he's not even the best striker at our club... Andy King: 12 League Goals, 30 Shots On Target, 24 Off Target, 12 from 54 shots = 22% Darius Vassell: 3 League Goals, 8 Shots On Target, 3 Off Target, 3 from 11 = 27% (A worrying low number of shots though) Yakubu: 2 League Goals, 6 Shots On Target, 1 Shot Off Target, 2 from 7 = 28.57% Kyle Naughton: 3 League Goals, 4 Shots On Target, 4 Shots Off Target, 3 from 8 = 37.5% Sol Bamba: 2 League Goals, 2 Shots On Target, 0 Shots Off Target, 2 from 2 = 100% Obviously there is more to it than the stats but there are some interesting figures there. Stats and shit found here: http://www.lcfc.com/page/Shooting/0,,10274~201010274,00.html
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 People often say King drifts in and out of games. That's bollocks. Watching Wales the other night I just concentrated on Kingy alone and he makes clever run after clever run and he's always finding space. Add his finishing, not only with his feet but head too, and he's your Championsip's answer to Lamps.
singinpete Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 I kept my eye on Kingy in the Wales match also, i thought he looked too clever a footballer for the rest of his team. He made great run after great run into the box but the rest of the team were just too shit to even think about looking for him. I dont think he got played in once!! Shame he's Welsh really.

Hope a fit Michael Johnson comes in as he knows how to play with King. They could slice through any defence even in PL. I see a few similarities with Man City when Sven was manager. The two most obvious is that Bamba is similar to Micah Richards and King similar to Elano.
