Bob Weasel Fox Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 My wife hates being called "Honey" which causes me much amusement when im trying to wind her up
AoWW Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 My wife hates being called "Honey" which causes me much amusement when im trying to wind her up I'd agree with her on that. Hate being called 'honey'. I also hate being called 'love' in a patronising-kinda way, usually by 'blokey-bloke' mechanics, plumbers, electricians, etc.

CKB Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 Few of my asian mates use bare a lot, and they're 19/20. Wouldn't be my choice of word thats for sure.. I just hate it, what goes through your mind when they are saying it? or have you heard it so much now you just ain't bothered?... TBH tho it is probably more acceptable in the asian/black community to speak like that, but for a 20 odd year old white girl to speak like that is just pure cringeworthy stuff

TBH tho it is probably more acceptable in the asian/black community to speak like that, but for a 20 odd year old white girl to speak like that is just pure cringeworthy stuff I've heard it too many times to be bothered really, plus it's not even the worst one. Licked as a substitute for drunk is the one I'm really not a fan of. Oh and "allow that/it" which can be translated as leave/fvck it.

Charl91 Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 Lad and Banter are words I really hate. They just seem to be a shorter way of saying "I'm a cock". Also heard lots of people saying "wagwan" recently; seriously, is that even a word? Oh, and the word "moist", and the word "ovaries". I have no idea what it is I don't like about them....
