That'll do for me I see no justifiable reason to use it especially in the LCFC, Gen Sports or Music forums if at all, there's plenty of great derogatory words people could use instead.

I know exactly what you mean As far as the C word goes though it really doesn't bother me to be honest, yes there's lots of derogatory words that people could and do use it just seems arbitrary that people take particular offence to that word. Maybe that's just me though

I personally find racial terms far more offensive which is why I'll cheerfully call someone a C U Next Tuesday but would baulk at racially abusing them. For instance the editor of the Oxford Dictionary said in a Guardian article "N*gg*r is far more taboo than fvck or even c*nt. I think if a politician were to be heard off-camera saying fvck, it would be trivial, but if he said n*gg*r, that would be the end of his career." http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2002/nov/21/britishidentity.features11 That particular article focuses more on the declining offensiveness of fook as a word but you get the point.

Banter gets on my nerves too as most of the time it's just someone acting like a cunt (sorry MikeyT) instead of actually participating in "banter"

Oh, and cobs are cobs. They aren't 'barmcakes', 'batches' or 'breadcakes' they are cobs. Simplicity itself.
