We could still win the Championship ?

Weve got NO CHANCE of getting 2nd spot let alone 1st spot - but i really really hope im proved wrong obviously :scarf:

We DEFINITELY have A CHANCE.

Really? more realistic we get in play offs surely?

Hence the obvious highlighting of 'a chance'.

We're potentially only 5 points off 2nd. To say we have NO CHANCE is too pessimistic for my liking. Forest have a tricky one away at Millwall after tomorrow night then their game in hand away to Boro. Two potential slip ups, I've got high hopes

yeah true, i know Carlito's Way quite well and he is a pessemistic sod lol but having said that i would rather stay on the cautiously optimistic side myself, heres definately hoping though :please: promotion this season

Of course we have chance. We're only 5 points off and have to play all the teams around us

Defo got a chance if we win the games against those above us. Forest and QPR have got some tricky games coming up so who knows.

If we were to get 3 points tonight then we're within touching distance and the teams above will surely start to get a bit nervy.

Personally after the start we had I think a playoff spot would be a massive a achievement for the club, hats off to the boys and Sven.

Here.....7points behind and played a game more so pretty much same position as us

They were not bottom after the fifth game though and were five points better off than us after nine games. Subtracting five from their total after 32 games puts us three points ahead :teehee: gotta love utterly pointless stats

In the 2006/7 season, Sunderland had 10 points after 9 games and 53 points after 32. That's 43 points from 23 games.

We had 5 points after 9 games and we have 51 points after 32. That's 46 points from 23 games.

We've amassed 3 points more than them in the comparative period AND we were bottom of the league when the run started/Sven took over, which makes our run look more spectacular.

Did that make it clearer?

If the OP could fill in the predictor exactly the same again but with todays results then I bet we'd still come 2nd for sure.... <_<

I hope this nonesense is put to bed now after last nights shockingly poor result - Please lets be realisitic, we will scrape into the play-offs if we are lucky, theres is absolutely No chance we will come first or second and there never has been

13 games left

7 at home, 6 away

I can see us amassing another 24-26 points max (even thats asking a lot as thats promotion form), that puts us 75-77 points

auto promotion? hardly any chance

playoffs if we are lucky

IMO there are 5 teams vying for 2 play-off places in 5th and 6th

Leicester

Leeds

Norwich

Hull

Burnley

and out of those 5, we are only due to play 2 of them....dont know if that's a good thing or bad?

Being pessemistic again Carlito's Way or in your eyes just realistic?
