The guy was class a couple of years ago and still has the talent now to get his career back on track.. Injuries haven't helped him either i may add and that may have got him down abit

He is shite I agree -- I have said that for ages. Personally, I think Gareth Barry is overrated. I used to say he was the most underrated player in the Premiership when he played for Aston Villa, but I now think he's overrated!! How much did Manchester City pay for him? 18 million? That was a rip off, I've never seen him use his right foot! Plus, Martin O'Neill improved his career by making him a midfielder and then he just left Martin and Aston Villa. Surely Barry went for the money, why would you leave a club that were then challenging for Europe when you are a fans favourite and had played many, many games?

Surely Barry went for the money, why would you leave a club that were then challenging for Europe when you are a fans favourite and had played many, many games? He went to Man City, who have a far greater chance of playing in Europe and winning trophies long-term.

I think not being picked regularly for Chelsea and England even when he was playing well irreparably damaged his confidence. I had hope his move to Liverpool would reinvigorate him but sadly it hasn't. By the way..A girl I know said she saw him being sent to the back of the queue at some London nightclub about a fortnight ago?! Said it was definitely him as well because he was with that woman of his. I'm pretty sure it was a Saturday night too. Maybe he hasn't made any friends up North yet and the Bouncer was a Manu fan?

Saying he is no good just because he didn't fit in there is like saying Diego Forlan is no good!
