Trickyfox Posted 9 March 2011 Author Posted 9 March 2011 This is about wanting LCFC to do well and get into the top flight and if players are not performing I will post my opinion on this forum, THAT’S WHAT IT’S FOR…. I could quiet easily post utter rubbish on this forum week in week out and have no opinion and just follow the masses like a little sheep. Get a grip, the facts paint the true picture Oakley’s in the team we lose………… FACT!!! ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? Just for those that like question marks.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Yeah, 'cause that was my point. As if Sven's not churned out enough of the mediocrity we already had here. Some say there's too many changes. You say there's not enough. He can't win. It's getting ridiculous how impatient and unrealistic people are. He's tried to improve. In your opinion we're missing one player, a central midfielder. So this makes Sven a dick. Good logic. Nope what i don't get is that Vassel/ King/Wellens/Abe/ Gallagher was working perfectly. Why did he change it ? Like Preston away winning 1-0, i know i take Dyer off for Oakley. Where's the logic in that ? Oakley isn't good enough for this team anymore. I don't expect to win every game but we got ourselfs in a good postion and blown it. He's changed the keeper and brought in Oakley why ? He sold Fryatt, and now we got no backup striker apart from Waghorn and he's not good enough either.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Hugo, I didn't see you at all, or any of the other deluded dicks on here when we won 5 in a row, and 6 out of 7, or got a well-earned draw against Man City? Where were you then? Let me guess, you were looking in to the future and envisaged a bad run would come, Ricardo would play alright but still get blamed for the goals, Oakley would play well and still get booed, and we'd drop away from the play-offs. Oakley was only being used as a sub then, Preston away cost us. Did you go Derby away ? Ricardo was shite then. So you think because we won 6/7 and now have go tits up. We should be happy with something that happened in the past hmmmm 00/01 season we were 4th in feb, just beat chelsea and liverpool. we went on to lose 9/10 games. Hmmmmmmmmmm
StanSP Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Totally missed my point. The recent past has got us flying up the table considering where we were in October. I'll say again. Didn't see you around when we were winning. You, like many others, have all popped out from underneath the rocks when things start to go out of plan. You've probably all been thriving for this moment.

The Leicester at the start of the season is alot different to where we are now. We have money now, to mount a bid and we should atleast be near the playoffs or even in the top 2. Sven go it all wrong and i told you so.

hackneyfox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Yeah we should never have sold that whining fat boy Fryatt, what a mistake that was, and we should have kept Morrison as well. Same people just keep popping back up the minute something goes wrong.

You're missing out the fact that Sven took over in October, therefore inheriting a squad midway through a season and having to do his business as quickly as possible, as opposed to getting a squad together before the season starts. I fully believe that if he had a squad to work with pre-season, we'd be near the automatic spots as opposed to where we find ourselves now.

BNET Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Open your eyes, Oakley is a serious problem to our team when he starts, or even comes on as sub for that matter. l can't believe that some people still can't see this with the glaring evidence there for all to see.
funkyrobot Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Why does everyone get a bee in their bonnet when people use this forum to state that they don't rate a certain player? I agree that Oakley is not up to the standard that we need and I also agree that our midfield is weaker than clubs like Leeds. Abe isn't a creator and whilst there are a few that say kingy does a lot of 'unseen' work, the truth is he doesn't. He comes alive when he sees an opportunity to break from deep and he's a fantastic finisher but he will not take a game by the scruff of the neck in the traditional way that an all action midfielder does (e.g. Scotty Parker at west ham) when things ate perhaps going wrong like in recent games. Wellens is probably the closest we have to an influential midfield player but he can't do it on his own and he will suffer if he's not got similar players around him.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Yeah, you're 10000 miles away, yet somehow more qualified to pass judgements than the rest of us who invest time and money in the club. If I had your gifts, I wouldn't waste time with message boards... Yeah I spend no time or money on the club.....yet some how flew over and spent a 2 weeks sleeping on a couch and 1 week in a hotel. Saw 5 games 2 of which were away (Swansea and Leeds) and probably spent inexsess of 350 pound at the club. shop. Sorry that i don't live within walking distance to the Walkers to be able to tell that % of the people on the LCFC part of the forum are a bunch of Whingers and over reactors. I was actually not even having a go at you but i've been to Games and been on this forum long enough to realise that a vast majority of people on this forum expect rather than hope we win every single game. They then whinge and moan about not winning or what certain players have or haven't done. I'm a season ticket holder in 4 different sports over here and am an avid sports follower and the over reactions and whinging on this board is the worst of seen. Which merely makes me wonder is it an English trait or a Leicester trait. But my opinion is it is an English trait to bemoan everyone and everything when there team is underperforming and in some cases performing.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 My questions remain unanswered… What is Oakley doing on the pitch? What role is he playing for the Team? As captain why did he let two of our players (who have out performed him consistently) argue on the pitch? I can remember when we played Sheff Wed at the walkers they were openly arguing on the pitch and shortly afterwards it emerge that the dressing room was divided. Agree with you 100% mate... what is the point of this site if you can't express your opinion? Simple fact is that Oakley has not been good enough for some time. The problem is you WILL get shouted down by the Sven lovers on here who consistently claim that any counter opinions are 'negative' or 'unhelpful' (you will see its the same old noises made by the same old people who seem to colonise Foxes talk). Well done for making your point... Oakley serves no purpose anymore and needs to be replaced by someone of more quality if we are to succeed next season..
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 COME ON LEICESTER ( REPEAT FOR 90 MINS ) lmao

I doubt many would disagree he needs replacing. But while he's here, and while options are limited then whining about it all the time is pointless. He's barely played this season but you guys do need something to moan about. There's no Sven-loving, just realism. People moan about King being anonymous, Abe being lightweight. Bruma comes in, people moan it was wrong to change things, Oakley plays a couple of games and he's singled out as the reason we lose. Mee plays at left back, people are unhappy Berner isn't given a chance. Weale's made loads of mistakes, keeper changes, people want Weale back. You see where i'm going with this? Ok, he barely touches average with regards to where we want to be but he's what we've got and was just to blame as anyone else against Norwich.
skinnydipper Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 With King and Wellens looking jaded and Oakley not up to the role of being a CM in a promotion challenging side it looks as if Sven's biggest failing is in not getting in a creative and/or combative CM For a squad that's now looking midfield-lite in terms of options we needed a Bannan more than a Brouma

I've been saying for some time that Abe, Oakley and even Kingy are consistently too weak.... how this team could have benefitted from a strong, holding midfielder who could play a bit. Jay Thomas would have been my choice, but he went to Cardiff at a time we could have got him. Alternatively, why not spend 4 million on Howson? Weale is good enough, Hobbs is good enough..and Vassell is good enough when played through the middle.... forget Bruma, Ricardo and the Yak and strengthen the team where it really needed it.............central midfield This omission, to my mind, has cost us a play-off place
funkyrobot Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Col city fan has some good valid points about our midfield, even when we were winning this seemed to be an area where we can be overwhelmed by opposition with intelligent and tenacious midfielders.

Kitchandro Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Who hasn't been able to express their opinion? Me. Posts have been deleted because I've 'made my point too many times' Other than that, there are certain self-righteous people on here who believe that anyone with a negative/different view point is a 'disabled', 'not a real fan' or in some cases 'worse than Mattock'. Some of them are even moderators. It must give them a superiority complex to have that title. You don't encourage people to contribute to an otherwise very good site when you brand most of the other people on here 'braindead ******' and such.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Col city fan has some good valid points about our midfield, even when we were winning this seemed to be an area where we can be overwhelmed by opposition with intelligent and tenacious midfielders. To win in this league we need a real ball winning tough tackling dynamo, we have Wellens to spray the ball around, King to score goals and make good runs etc and Abe to sit in front of defence but we need something better (no disrespect to Abe)> the ironic thing is we have a good midfield but not quite good enough (if 2 are having off days we dont perform). But when all said and done, the job is down to Sven and in Sven :sge: we trust
Bettsj2 Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Couldnt agree more.... this has been Mr. Eriksen's major failing... Strong holding midfielder? What a load of crap. Why are people so hell bent on having some dipstick in the middle of the park 'getting stuck in'. Yes the last 4 games have been disapointing but Norwich aside we've hardly been outplayed. We created more than enough to get something from Cardiff, same against Cov and how we didnt beat QPR is quite beyond me. Yeah Norwich beat us convincingly but not by out-muscling us. They outpassed us and their movement was better. Having some thug in centre midfield wouldn't have changed that. As a footnote to the original post, Oakley was a great player 5 years ago. Now he's gash and I wish he'd **** off
