Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Happy with that. Looking at my bets that's actually the best I could have hoped for. Got Chris in a double with Banjaxed girl and a few L15s whereas most of my best with Finian were messed up by Recession proof.
Bert Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Apparently in the Arkle, favourites to win the 2-mile trip don't do well in it. Now I know nothing about horse-racing, but I noticed a lot of you have gone for Captain Chris, which is the favourite! And that's why you know nothing about horse racing!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Apparently in the Arkle, favourites to win the 2-mile trip don't do well in it. Now I know nothing about horse-racing, but I noticed a lot of you have gone for Captain Chris, which is the favourite! He wasn't the favourite which might explain why he won? Who cares, I was on it, which makes a tidy start to the festival! Edit - should mention a thanks to Bert. I was leaning towards him, but Bert's little post made me a lot more willing to back him early(ish) at 17/2.
Wycombe Fox Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 I've got £9.63 going onto Blazing Bailey at 11/1 for a top 5 placing on my accumulator and £0.48 onto the same horse on my Heinz
Bert Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Can I have result please? Captain Chris Finian's rainbow Realt dubh
Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Resisting the urge to get on Exmoor Ranger at 25s. An old favourite of mine but these should be too good
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 If you like your horse to be in front early, Rare Bob at 25/1 in the next would be a good bet for you - may hold on for a place too, but may fall flat on his arse. Maybe worth a tinkle, I've had a little go.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Sunnyhillboy would set me up for an exciting afternoon. Concerned about Carole's Legacy
Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Phew! looked like sunnyhillboy for a second there. NO!!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 At least Carole's legacy didn't win. Tried to back it but was too slow and missed the off
Simmo86 Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Thats 2 places for me now! We're doing E/W aren't we?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 I'm sure I bet on Bensalem last year, which put me off this - nevermind, another race to come. Ms picked out Khyber Kim, which means I'm fairly happy with going on Oscar Whisky.
Wycombe Fox Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Bye bye accumulator. It's all down to the E/W Heinz with winnings of £478.82 if the last three win or £35.12 if they all finish in the first three.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 No idea where to go on this one. Could be any one from 5
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 No idea where to go on this one. Could be any one from 5 back em all!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 tempting. Just so I could say I backed the winner
Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 right...Khyber Kim and Menorah each way and Reverse Forecast. Well that's what I wanted but willhill wouldn't take my bet. I'll be ****ing livid
Wycombe Fox Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 I'm taking Paddy Power to the cleaners today with my Heinz. £1.81 going on to Poker de Sivola.
