Ashley Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Where are people drinking in cardiff on saturday before the game? Ive heard it could be quite dicey..?! Will be rough as anything in Cardiff on saturday, how are you getting to Cardiff? If your on the train you should be escorted to a pub along with other England fans.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 March 2011 Author Posted 21 March 2011 No weve hired a minibus so unless the police get us on the way down we will be left to ourselves. From what ive heard the majority are drinking in bristol up to just before the game. Were not doing this though as weve got to collect our tickets (thanks FA) Glad we cancelled our hotels to be fair. How are you getting down?
kylestyle06 Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 It's not bad at all.. Went last month when Leicester played them.. stayed the night and had quite a good night... Was a bit tipsy and cracked a few Leicester chants Had a bit of scuffle with some local scally who flicked a fag at me... few punches thrown then he got about 15 Cardiff boyo's... which it was then time to do one. Apart from that was a sound night
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 March 2011 Author Posted 21 March 2011 To be fair thats to be expected if you start singing songs in their streets! Wont be doing owt like that, we just need a few decent and relatively safe boozers!
kylestyle06 Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 This wasn't in the streets was in one of the clubs.. Met Andy Kings birds mate there!! ! Was a good night though would recommend it, and this was on a week day.. student night!
Leicester Rule! Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 We're there from the Friday night. Will find somewhere on matchday for a couple of hours ... sure everything will be fine!
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Just follow the England flags and don't be too much of a dick, you won't be on your own. Don't remember too much trouble in Cardiff last time; in fact Northern Ireland's fans kicked off far more in the city center. Oh and get your whinging and bitching about the cunt Welsh out of the way now, because God Save The Queen probably will get booed.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 March 2011 Author Posted 21 March 2011 of course it'll get booed. just like their song about shaggin sheep will
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 good luck drowning out sixty odd thousand people belting Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau out. We might be shit at football but singing's our sport.
Bugg Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Hen Wlad Fy Nnadau? Sounds like a noise I'd make clearing my throat!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 March 2011 Posted 22 March 2011 Will be rough as anything in Cardiff on saturday
Ashley Posted 22 March 2011 Posted 22 March 2011 Have you ever been to a England, Wales game? The lad who started the topic wants to go for a peaceful drink without any bother. Congratulations on posting a picture of the Football factory it isn't a laughing matter.
Finnegan Posted 22 March 2011 Posted 22 March 2011 I've been to an England - Wales game. I saw violence. Jack Army fighting Soul Crew.
MrLuke Posted 22 March 2011 Posted 22 March 2011 Nahh Cardiff isn't that rough, theres a fair few places to go out here, depends what type of places you're looking for? I tend to stick to Buffalo Bar & 10 Feet Tall.
MrLuke Posted 22 March 2011 Posted 22 March 2011 Or if you're just looking for a bit of fluff, there is always Tiger TIger and Revolution...
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 March 2011 Author Posted 22 March 2011 Mr luke-apparentley last time the castle grounds were open for england fans. Any idea whether this is happening again?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 March 2011 Author Posted 22 March 2011 All were after is the place where most england fans will get together and have a bit of a sing song(without causing trouble) a bit of fanny wouldnt go amiss either!
MrLuke Posted 22 March 2011 Posted 22 March 2011 Mr luke-apparentley last time the castle grounds were open for england fans. Any idea whether this is happening again? no idea mate, wouldn't be surprised if they were open this time, especially if the sun's out! seriously though Cardiff isn't that rough, especially for a city. Plus there's the fact it's a massive student city so there's such a large English population anyway.
MrLuke Posted 22 March 2011 Posted 22 March 2011 Though saying that, St Mary Street can look like a warzone after about 8 as these photos show... link
