Hobbs to hand in transfer request

Ok detective, I'll give you the story. My cousin Ben - worked in Limey's which was part from Cruise. She worked at cruise and obviously made friends there, one of which is the gf of my friend. They are good friends as couples so no, I have never met him other than the training ground where my boys did the talking! Hobbs did donate a signed shirt via my friend to a charity my wife was working on but that's it. I have no idea if Sven is a dick. Never said he was, there you go making up more rumours.I was told from the fans outside Hobbs had gone on long after returning on a family holiday so most of what I know has come from them. Martyn (I think was his name) told my boys he's gone on loan. I asked where too, he said Hull and that Hobbs had no idea he was going. I then obviously called my friend, he said it was a shock and he confirmed hobbs didn't know. But he didn't say much else. So that's the information I had received. Anything else I guess you should ask Hobbs if he returns. Obviously I take an interest in him, I like him as a player and with the connections - who wouldn't?

So from your story we can all understand:

a.) your opinion is not an objective one, as it will be biased due to your tenuous links, and Hobbs signing things for your boys.

b.) you still fail to understand that whatever info you have and share, it's second hand and like anybody within any social circles know, it's easier to play a victim to gain sympathy

Whilst I'm not saying Hobb's is telling people that he's a victim, so that he doesn't gain a reputation as someone with either a bad attitude, unprofessional, or whatever, it's NOT a fact unless you talk to him directly and then talk to Sven and understand the reasons for his journey off to Hull, and why he may or may not return.

So don't get annoyed when people don't take you seriously.

I wishi worked for the mirror mate. All I've done is say what I know. Granted a lot I was told outside the training ground but i'll be honest my boys only wanted to see Hobbs again. So many of the players drove passed without even a wave. For me that's wrong when we pay our gate fees and Hobbs was the only player along with Weale to stop for photos. You know what it's like when you all get chatting.

Hobbs had no idea, even though it had been in papers, on the radio, in interviews with Sven about their interest and and him not allowing it yet as we had injuries, but he said Hobbs would like to go!?

At least he's trying to give some sort of explanation... whether you believe him or not is up to you I guess. Tell you what, why don't you hit us with your acumen on this subject? With the people I know at City, I know that Jack is a good lad and is very popular at the club. I know he lives in Quorn, that his missis is a lovely looking little blonde and that he's keen to stay with us. The same as quite a few young players who have been sent out on loan...

I also know that most of the younger players think that Sven is a good guy

Fair enough it's nice when players acknowledge the fans, but some players just want privacy.

I saw James Scowcroft in sainsburys years back and went over to talk to him, he wasn't interested in the slightest and pretty much blanked me. I thought he was a twat, but then pretty much everyone in their was hounding him, so I can understand why he couldn't be bothered.

I agree with some of what you've said - like until we ask Hobbs and Sven we'll not know.....

So why are people saying he has thrown his dummy out there pram, he doesn't want to play for us, blah, blah. I don't think any of know that either so whilst there's hearsay and general opinions comments like that do need some backing up because I don't think it's right to judge a player who isn't here to defend himself. But I do like Hobbs as a player so we've gotten off the orginial subject. I don't understanf why we don't wish players well whether its in a city shirt or not? If they've played for us, tried there best, they will also have my backing.

Pearson has spent a good 5 million at Hull on transfers alone, so its not hard to see why they shouldn't be above us. They only came down last year as well, so should really have had a pretty good squad.

Let me make it clear, that I have NEVER stated that Hobbs WANTS to leave. Have a look over my posts, and/or threads. You'll struggle to find this as it doesn't exist.

What I am suggesting is that people who come on forums making statements like you have done and like others have done is open to debate. Thus I am being devil's advocate and suggesting that nothing is as black and white unless it comes directly from Hobbs himself in front of a camera, and we all hear it for ourselves. No chinese whispers, and no girlfriends telling their girlfriends who tell thier cousins who then post it on Foxestalk as though it were fact. That's all I am saying.

I know one thing, if I were a footballer I'd want to stay with Leicester City, what with us going back up to Premiership soon. But what baffles me is that Hobbs is unaware that his capabilities don't fit thew system that Sven is building within the defence? This raises a few questions about the lad, that if I raised would only offend him and his girlfriend's girlfriend's cousin.

So we come back to the argument of 'he's a good lad' I've responded about the same issue regarding Weale. He might be the salt of the earth, and have a wonderful personality and be the most social and brilliant individual whose smile lights up a room, but....and here's the BIG but....if he doesn't fit the NEW system that Sven is building, then sympathies and lovliness don't count for anything if fans pay money to come through the turnstiles and expect their team to win.

Take Weale, for example... the 'Sven way' appears to have done Weale no favours whatsoever and again, I think this is a shame as I feel Weale is a good keeper.

My suggestion that you are similar to Stringer is that you seem to follow the same line of thought in reverence for particular players, and you don't half bang the same beat on your drum. My recommendation is get used to sarcasm if that is your angle.

I am fully expecting Hobbs to leave in the summer. Sven clearly never rated him from the start or he would have given him more time to improve and adapt to his way of football. Put it this way, maybe if Hobbs had been at the back instead of Bruma we might not have let so many soft goals in.

I think he has been treated quite badly really, and really hope he comes back but I cant see it.
