Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 From what I've seen bamba showed decent quality for the price we paid, I think he's going to have a good season if he stays Good value for £250k, outstanding value at a sell on of 2m. Taxi for Bamba!
andyking10 Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 why would they sell bamba? there are no real reasons all of these are stupid speculations because people are so exited about the new players that they think they are bored of the ones that where already at the club, and maybe getting rid of old ones Sven will bring in a whole new team and we will soar to the perm, well it dosnt work like that you need old and new players to create a strong competitive team that is in contention of getting promoted, you don't neccesarilly need to get rid of ANY players.
Hack Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 Good value for £250k, outstanding value at a sell on of 2m. Taxi for Bamba! Why sell now if we don't have to and it is clear with these owners we don't. Bamba is at very high quality Championship defender, no question. If teams think he is worth 2 mil now, maybe after the next season he will be worth 4 mil. The only reason to sell is if he want to go to Marselle or an other club that comes knocking. At present I don't think that has happened. As I have said before a CB core of Mills, Bamba, St Ledger with the posibility of Tunchev is the envy of all other championship teams. I say that being pretty sure that Dann and Johnson will be gone from Birmingham before the season starts. We haven't got Mee or Vitor back as yet on loan and I would suggest that Tunchev is the most vunerable to not be back. We cant go into the season with less than 4 1st quality CB's. So why again should we sell Bamba?
drc Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 Sven was asked yesterday on BBC Leicester by Ian about his future and Sven said that he hopes that it is here at Leicester. He also said he heard rumours of interest but no one have called and asked to buy him.
FallenAngel Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 I hope he stays, i like the guy, he can only improve, and for £250k i think it was a good deal for sure.
Aidy3 Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_7030472,00.html Sven says he wants to keep him...
ithuriel Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 No surprise he want's to keep him, it will be a long season and four good centre backs is a must, the youngster coming through from the youth team will probably be loaned to get experience unless he is that good he can challenge for a place on the bench
Number 6 Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 It's a long hard season, we'll need cover. Unfortunately Sven likes to tinker with the back 4 too. Bamba will be useful to us.

At present I don't think that has happened. Except there is a question. There was a reason Bamba languished in the SPL for so long, and why we were able to sign him up on the cheap. Those who saw him in some of his springtime games for us (as opposed to his whirlwind early ones in January) will be able to tell you what that reason is.
