kingfox Posted 5 July 2011 Posted 5 July 2011 Ah Rachel Wyse is Irish so her accent could of caught you out, or she did probably say six but meant five. All the girls make mistakes on there apart from Natalie Sawyer really, no matter how nice looking they are they don't half say some wrong stuff
Rodders Posted 5 July 2011 Posted 5 July 2011 The thing that strikes me is that he is demanding to quit! I was so sure he loved it here! The Mirror reports he is demanding to quit. Which doesn't necessarily mean he is demanding to quit. Unless everything the tabloids states is fact. Which it isn't. So, until he comes out and says something, relax!
Christoph Posted 5 July 2011 Posted 5 July 2011 Could be lazy journalism. Would like to see him go for more than 2 mill, rather try and push it to 3 but not bad for the 250/500k? we paid for him, still, I like him, he had a really good start and would rather he stay than went
samstown92 Posted 5 July 2011 Posted 5 July 2011 they probably mean 6th, including Tsepo... so yeah gotta be Nugent
drc Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 If we don't have money problem we don't need to sell players now. Bamba has had half a season of experience now in the championchip and can probably be better this season. It will only complicate if we get rid and have to try and find a new backup player. If (which I doubt) he demands to leave though then it's probably best to sell him.
crisp packet Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 We won't sell ? Why? We are building a squad not selling our best players .....
Hack Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 I thnk people saying Bamba is not good enough don't know a lot about football. Yet he is good enough after 6 months with us in the Championship for clubs like OM to reportedly offer 2mil fo him, strange. However, if we were to secure Mills and Mee and Tunchev did well enough during preseason and Bamba felt that he would not be in the first team enough, then we could afford to sell at a significant profit. But not a preferred option by me, I like what he brings to the team. So if we didn't sell him our CB's could be: Bamba St Ledger (I think he can also play RB) Mills Tunchev Mee who can also play on the left more than enough of good quality.
cc_star Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Great news if true £250k to £2m in months An amazing footballer, so skilful but as a CB he's frequently out of position & often makes awful decisions to bring the ball down & not head it clear putting us under undue pressure. Great piece of business for the club especially if it enables us to further our Mills & Mee bids, then alongside SSL & Tunch we should be amazing at the back
Father Ted Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Get rid!!!! Ridiculously overrated - he was awful towards the end of the season. Plus 2mil towards mills/Mee/Vitor - 3 better cb's.
Hack Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Get rid!!!! Ridiculously overrated - he was awful towards the end of the season. Plus 2mil towards mills/Mee/Vitor - 3 better cb's. As I suggested people who don't rate Bamba don't know a lot about football. He has all the skills, speed, passing ball control, heading and distribution. He asked to be a partner with a numbe of others in the back. Not an easy think to do getting a stable patnership when you are playing with a different partner nearly ever game. Did he make some errors? Yes so does Rio Ferdinand, does that mean he is shit.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Basically he's a very good footballer but he shouldn't be playing at centre back as he takes big risks like trying to beat a man when walking it out of defence.
Jimmy Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 as things stand we need him more then we need the money, look at the prices being quoted for Mills for example, we're not going to be able to replace Bamba, who is also a threat from corners, something we are ridiculously poor with, with someone as good for £2m
FrankieADZ Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 £2million for him would be a great deal imo, We of course would need a replacement and if we could get Mee back and maybe Vtior too I think most City fans would be rather happy with it...I for 1 would certainly be.
Corky Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 I like Bamba but if we can get Mills and Mee in then sell. Mee, Mills, St Ledger and hopefully Tunchev will be the 4 CB's.
Guest Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 People undervalue Sol. Sure he's far from perfect but people seem to forget how pathetic we were at set pieces before he joined. What was it 200,541 corners without a goal when he arrived. He is a threat on the attack and an aerial rock in defence

And it was the delivery that was the issue.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 2m for Bamba is the deal of the century. He ain't that good, I'd bite their hands off for that deal and if Tunch was fit we'd have a ready made replacement and be 1.75m up on the deal.
shailen Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Sol bamba is awesome, someone we need to keep. Great at set pieces, hes strong, got pace to burn, defensively sound, and the one quality i rate is his determination- he will never give up. Agreed that he is rash at times, when he makes runs from CB, but in time he will learn, and that will stop. I honestly think he is a premier league CB, so we shouldnt sell!
leicesterisme Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 We don't need to and personally I don't think we should sell Bamba. It's all about building a squad.
Dabizas Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 IF we get Mills, Mee and Tunchev is fully fit againt then wouldnt mind this happening. But Bamba is a decent player and defender we dont need the money and more importantly i cant see Mills, Mee and Tunchev all in a Leicester shirt next season
Guest Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 None of his goals were scored from corners. And it was the delivery that was the issue. I didn't say they were. However he was a threat at corners which led to us actually scoring from a corner. If you can't see that or you want to believe that Bamba isn't worthwhile fair enough. I'm putting my opinion, you can put yours - that's what this forum is about.
