From stringer's twitter:

"Sven on #mcfc +Yuki Abe "a surprise, good player but I can't see him playing regularly for Man City" he's tried calling Mancini, phone off"

Wonder why he was trying to ring Mancini.... to tell him to fook off or to sort a deal?? Let the guessing begin!

More like "Can I have Greg Cunningham and Ben Mee for peanuts please?"

This rumour seems to have died.

Although if it was a straight swap for Cunningham and Mee I would take it

throw tevez in there and you've got yourself a deal

Reckon we should hold the Mancs to ransom for our loved Yuki:

10m

SWP

Mee

Cunningham

Tevez

Silva

Throw in the ol' Joe Hart for good measures.

Just found this article nothing new really...

http://www.footballtransfertavern.com/2011/05/premiership/mancinis-imaginative-plan-includes-red-hot-e14m-japanese-duo

The Sky Blues are after Japanese duo, Keisuke Honda and Yuki Abe.

Highly rated CSKA Moscow winger Honda, 24, starred during the Samurai Blue’s 2010 world cup campaign. The golden boy of Japanese football possess a deadly left foot and a wicked free-kick. Close friend, 29 year old Abe has already tasted English football at Leicester City this season. Moving from Urawa Red Diamond’s to join up with Sven Goran Eriksson. According to ESPNsoccernet, the pair are being lined up as Mancini’ s first signings of the transfer window.

It’s difficult however to see where they would find a place amongst the sea of talent at Eastland’s. Seen by many as more of a business based move, with City looking to extend their world wide appeal. Shown by the success of Park Ji -Sung across the city at United, the red devils have gained a massive following in Asia, thanks to their South-Korean midfielder.

Mancini’s men are coming off the back of a standout season, finishing third in the league, qualifying for Europe’s premier competition. As well as clinching the F.A cup, bringing them their first major trophy in 35 years. The signing of two Japanese star’s will certainly aid Manchester City’s global assault.
