Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 28 May 2011 Posted 28 May 2011 Unbelievable? You literally cannot believe that people wouldn't want Kevin Phillips? That's what you're saying. You cannot believe that anyone wouldn't want a 37 year old striker who has scored 1 league goal for Birmingham this season. Right. Nope, can't believe it, no matter how hard I try. With regard to fans who don't rate Mr KP I'm agnostic, a disbeliever!
shailen Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Although hes a quality player, dont think he will be able to play in our current system. We are a high tempo team, and i just cant see him fitting in without a niall quinn or zigic to give hin flick ons.

I very much doubt he'd start many but IF (big if I know) we got heskey or someone like him, there aren't many predators better than phillips at finishing thngs off.

We are going to have to go 442 if we are to fit him in. And that will change the style of play we do play. Yeah although i agree with heskey he could be deadly, but i think he is too old and if we do sign him only as a backup!
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 He is past it. If Brum thought he could do a capable enough job in the Championship still they would have offered him a new deal.

I hope we don't but I wouldn't be surprised if we did.

I kinda hope we do. we already hve the best midfied we've had in years but even then in big games they were ineffectual as we got beaten time and time again by those just above us. if sven can bring in players in the middle capable of running thr match in a four then im all for it

Nick Posted 29 May 2011 Author Posted 29 May 2011 20 mins to go, forwards looking tired, 1-1 who do you bring off the bench, Steve Howard or Kevin Phillips? For me it's KP - I wouldn't however want to rely on him as a full time 1st teamer.
Number 6 Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Very surprised BHam released him. Perfect player to have sat on the bench when you need a late goal.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 well if its in the star, its probably not true about Phillips i wouldn't mind Earnshaw thou Bollox to earnshaw.. Forest scum
Webbo Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 I'll be so glad when KP retires so that I don't have to hear this half baked rumour again every fecking season.

MikeyT Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Skysports.com understands Blackpool have opened talks with veteran frontman Kevin Phillips - with the former England international available as a free agent after leaving Birmingham.

Leicfox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Hope he likes shit chips, rock, jocks, watered down lager, donkeys and floating turds... Oi I've lived in Blackpool for the last 20yrs, well Cleveleys, which is much nicer. You forgot to mention the mass amount of smack-heads, who's hobbies include begging, arson, drug abuse, alcoholism and harassment. It's also proud to be the home of highest number of paedophiles in the country, A shithole is a shithole, even if you paint it bright orange, I bet IH never told Phillips that.
