Cardiff are going backwards...all their top strikers have left...botharoyd, chopra and bellamy(loan). The only players they have with a bit of magic are wittingham and maybe chris burke. If they were gonna get promoted it had to be this season, but they didnt!

evs_the_fox Posted 13 June 2011 Posted 13 June 2011 I wouldn't go as far to say as we've missed out on him but when I read over that he'd gone to Ipswich for £1.5m there was a part of me that thought he could have done a job for us. The fee seemed reasonable, especially when Cardiff paid £3m only a couple of years ago. He may never have proved himself in the Prem but we're not in the Prem are we... we're in the Championship and he is proven there. I'm not sure he'd fit in to Sven's style of play so it's all conjecture anyway but I get the point of the OP – a proven goalscorer at this level and we were never any where near it.
