davieG Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 With the news that Scotland looks likely to get even more independence a larger budget and greater control over it's spending including the ability to set rates of income tax is it time to have separate Scottish, Welsh, NI and English Parliaments with similar autonomy and a much smaller House of Commons / Lords dealing with National common interests like the Armed Forces and......... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-13846330
Jon the Hat Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 Ah the West Lothian question. I think a cheaper option would be to exclude MPs from debates and votes where their constituents are not affected due to jurisdictional issues.

(I've been reading Bill Hicks on my hols, I may have turned into Empty.) We have a system whereby the party machine get people elected who are on message and do what they are told. Free votes on everything!!!!
Finnegan Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 A highly intellectual post. WHOOOOOOOSH. (That should be your personal motto to be honest, DT. 'Whoosh!')
Daggers Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Coming to a capital city near you this Autumn. Power to the people, etc.
FoxyPV Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Kill everyone north of the M25 and there would be no more problems.
Dr The Singh Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Kill everyone north of the M25 and there would be no more problems. Rape and pillage first though?
Houdini Logic Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Kill everyone north of the M25 and there would be no more problems. I think that only gets rid of half of Essex
Bellend Sebastian Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Smash the system! http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2011/aug/04/neoliberalism-zombie-action-phone-hacking
FoxyPV Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Rape and pillage first though? Pillage but no rape or I'd have to put myself on death row. I think that only gets rid of half of Essex I think we could make an exception for the rest of it
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 All protesters should be shot. That should decrease the population, bringing the unemployment figure to zero. It would create more jobs, more housing, mean less violence, put the N.H.S on a solid footing, improve education, etc. etc. etc.. I have plenty of ideas, to make this country a better place to live in, but I could be in deep shit if I said what they were. All right., I was only joking,

At the time I said you were full of shit and probably had a hangnail or something and so seeing as you are still here spouting shit don't you think you should either be grateful for life and try to value your existence a bit more or suck it up because you're a bullshitting bastard? No offence life.
