Thanks Went to a nice place for Sunday lunch with family back in the summer. The Cock Inn, Peatling Magna. Lovely village, nice pub, friendly atmos & good grub. I've only been the once, but it was perfectly fine & would go again. Not sure about recommending it........others might think it shite? A lot of people bang on about The Shires in Peatling Parva, but it's average at best & expensive.

I would second Grey Goose, Gilmorton, very good there. You could try the pub down on Foxton Locks although I've only been there a couple of times and not for Sunday lunch. If you want something very good, Staff of Life Mowsley. The place at Bruntingthorpe is also very good.

Bayfox Posted 9 January 2013 Posted 9 January 2013 Oh and i know its not south leicester but the navagation in barrow. Best value sunday lunch ever and if you can't manage a lunch or want a snack the baguetts are quality at £3.50 i think.
