dpjfox Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Vassell played ok yesterday but im sure the "new striker saga" will be resolved this week and he will go straight in the team on Saturday
wellyfox Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 With the choice between Keane and Defoe I'd definitely choose Defoe, reports are he is set to be loaned from Spurs for the year. Do we have a chance? Good relationship with Sven? And Defoe is just gonna give up on england then.
Raw Dykes Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Vassell played ok yesterday but im sure the "new striker saga" will be resolved this week and he will go straight in the team on Saturday I thought Vassell was pretty good yesterday, and I have a feeling he could be much improved over last season because his fitness is sure to be better now. I hope you're right about the new striker saga. I really don't think we can afford to rely on the likes of Waghorn, Howard and Kermorgant this season.
B52 Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 I go for Maynard. His value is doubled playing in a team as ours. Plenty of room and possibilities to score for a player with his technical skills.

Dabizas Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Do people actually believe defoe is a possibility? Shocking what ever happened to realism
Splidge_ Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Cameron Jerome Oh god I am the only who voted for him He is strong, Quick, and great in the air.
John Matrix Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Cameron Jerome Oh god I am the only who voted for him He is strong, Quick, and great in the air. don't forget 'prolific'
jonw88 Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 What about George Boyd? Burnley supposedly made a bid for him, could be the kind of goal scorer/winger we need, would fit into our system well I think.
Splidge_ Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 don't forget 'prolific' I have no idea why I voted for him Did he score 2 goals all season At least he has played in the Prem unlike Long and Maynard And might be cheaper
FoxTrott Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Robbie Keane (feels very unlikely, but really would love to see him do his celebration in a Leicester shirt) > Nicky Maynard (seems to be consistently a prolific goal scorer) > Shane Long (had a great season but anything more? massive gamble, feel the price tag might place ridiculous expectations too)
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 no votes for lita gone to swansea Where's the Ched Evans option?
lc4lcfc Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 tae se for me. although boyd is noot a bad shout. cant see keane coming here, long is overpriced for one good season i think maynard would be a huge disappointment if he came after this saga so no thanks!
