Petchy Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 To Sven's credit he did openly admit yesterday that this season they will infact have a so called 'Plan B' with a 4-4-2, if they feel they need to change it in a game, unlike last season where they had to stick to 4-3-3.

Daggers Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 interesting to see no plan B come up alot.. Yes. It's very interesting isn't it. I wonder if we can ask itsthejoker to go back and find out how many of those contributing to the thread have held successful careers within top flight football management and how many are just fukbuckets with no depth of appreciation for the game whatsoever?

Bettsj2 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 When Plan A works the majority of the time, is it a little pointless to switch to Plan B and upset the balance of the side? What if Plan B fails? Do you just switch back to Plan A rendering the whole thing a waste of time? Or do you sign another 10 players to accomodate a Plan C?
Guest MattP Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 It's a fair point to be honest, like most say plan A is usually enough but Svens teams certainly seem to enjoy being front runners. I dont remember many games where we came from behind to win last year, with England as well when we got to the harder stages of tournaments we seemed to lack a different plan, Big Phil had his measure not to lose to us despite not having the same pool of talent as us with Portugal. Sven performs best when he is at the biggest club in the desired competition or has a massive budget to work with. So he should in theory be absolutely perfect for this promotion push next season.

Winchester Posted 3 August 2011 Posted 3 August 2011 Plan B is an Arsenal fan - so not really Sven's fault.
