Dicko Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 To be honest, he looked awesome in League One but he's hardly played since then, so we don't really know if he's good enough to be in a Championship title-chasing side. He always looked solid to me, but not a world-beater by any stretch and certainly not in the class of someone like Mills who we've now got at centre-half. If he genuinely does look like getting back to fitness, then no harm giving him a year's contract provided that it's not on a big salary, and he can be 4th choice centre-half. But if not and he does go he then won't be hard to replace.

RowlattsFox Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Well Sven is giving him every opportunity to prove himself, and if he wasn't in his plans then you would have thought he wouldn't have offered him a contract. A move to Palace will be good for him, but Palace have already signed defenders on loan so do they need more? We will see whether his fitness holds up whilst also seeing how he copes at this level.

gazfox9 Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 I'd say none of those options. I'd like to see a one month loan, two maximum, to Palace to let him regain his fitness then get him back here. If he can stay injury free I'm sure he'll have a huge part to play this season.
