Faz having to have a word with Mills on the pitch? Looks like Millsy ain't happy.

"A forlorn figure" according to Stringer.

Good to see him making changes and trying something different. It didn't come together on Saturday and a lot of managers would put it down to a one off. Think Sven is still trying to figure out his best team, as we all are really! Though bit of a suprise that Schlupp is not even on the bench, is he injured or something? Would be nice to have seen him have a few mins at the end!

Mills, Danns, Paintsil and Abe dropped. At least no-one will be able to blame Sven for having 'chosen men'! Although no doubt people like Thracian will have a go at Schlupp being dropped

Edit: Vassell suspended

Suspended still.

I don't think it's any surprise. If we are loose at the back the crowd will get on his back and turn against him, and we could do without that, and it would be nice to get the first 3 home points on the board.

? Dont show a lot of confidence in your captain and big signing though do it?

Can't really argue with that team, nice to see Sven being proactive. Peltier deserved to be recalled after injury and Mills needed a kick up the arse after Saturday, chance for St.Ledger to stake his claim. Good to see King in the side, hopefully will provide us with an extra goal threat. Gallagher and in particular Dyer should provide us with some much needed width.

Up to the players now to go out there and put in a performance. :trumpet:

This is great. Sven shows the players that they can get into action. They're not forgotten.

But we will still have the moaners complaining why Sven shifted so many players.. lol

The team selection shows a side to Sven that I didn' t know existed. Mills will come good; it took Walshie I don't know how long to click but when he finally did the rest is legend

Going to give 5 live a chance tonight. Whats the commentators like? Are they as anti Leicester as sky? if so i'll stick to stringer and co.

As my absence indicates my challenge for the most plastic fan of the year, i shall be listening to 5 Live. I do hope it's the lady commentator from last year.....she was dead good <_<

And yes they are just as bad as Sky.

If now Mills is so angry I think he's childish. He got the armband and he knows about the competition. In this squad you have to have a reality check even if you have the armband.

Still I want our players to want to play so hopefully he's just dissapointed and understand that even him could be on the bench

Hmm I'm pleased with the line up apart from Mills being dropped. I went to the match on Saturday and yes he had an off game, however how do you expect the guy to improve if you drop him straight away? The same goes for the rest of the new players. Also he's the player that Sven has chosen to be Captain and for that reason I find it strange that Sven feels he can be dropped so easily.

It's a risky strategy by Sven that I hope pays off. However it could result in a very unhappy squad, whether it's warranted or not.

Could you see allardyce dropping Nolan after one bad game? Looks like St ledger has got his way?

Anyway hope it works..

we have a rotation squad - end of. Also we can't be 100 % that Mills isn't feeling a small injury or something. We at the forum during the match are just not-at-the-match-listening-to-the-idiots-at-the-radio-knobs.

He was absolutely right to drop him in my opinion. The whole point of having a good squad is to provide competition and show that if your performances drop below the required standard then you will be dropped, no matter who you are.

The majority of players would accept this and strive to improve and do better when their chance arises again. If they sulk and are not prepared to fight for their place, they can go elsewhere.
