Guess I'm not as thick as people think eh?

Looks photo shopped to me.

Pretty pissed off Kokopops beat me, might do the test again.

Well the average is 100, I'd never have believed that the members of FoxesTalk are above average intelligence

It's a pretty poor version of an IQ test. I got 20 points more on this one than I have on proper tests. To get a realistic result you need to do a proper test and they are much longer and much more boring and irritating to complete than this one. If you take 20 points from everyone's result and allow for some cheating and lying then you get much closer to the low 90s, which is what I would expect is about average in Leicester.

Means nothing

I just picked a random answer done the whole test in about 30 secs, didnt even read them first time round, and got 126, next time round i got 109, just by luck

basic law of averages will give a score of over 100

give it a go

A few weeks ago I went a learning centre in the Haymarket to sign up for an IT course. I had to do a maths and English litracy test. It was fairly easy. Only struggled on 4 or 5. The ones about areas of circles and degrees which I have not done since I was at school many years ago and one in the English exam where you had to fit a group of lettters in front of a list. Done 5/6 words and there was nothing left that fitted the last one kept trying different combinations but nothing fitted. Either there was something wrong with the test or there were different spellings or a word I did not know. The rest was basic grammar. Wont get the results until I start the IT course but they indicated that I did OK.

On the one on here I went through the choosing the areas I needed to improve so I wonder if the questions were based on that. Did not realise you could do the test without doing that. I dont want to do it again. May get a worse score. Don't think it would be hard to get plus 100. At least of the answers were straightforward if worked out.

I once got told in a test at school a Monkey could have done better, as it was Multiple choice questions...a test i couldn't be arsed with, i failed miserably, just because by chance i picked the wrong answers

The Thicko's in the class got higher scores than me, not because they knew the answers, but because they had more luck on the day.

I dont read too much into these tests, nor in what the teacher said, as i went onto to get a HND in various subject's at college, and none of them did me any good, as i now do a job where those skills are not required.

Common sense is what's lacking in today's society, people with an abundance of qualifications, in my experience doesn't mean a lot if they have no common sense.I have interviewed a lot of people with CV's as long as an elephants dick, but when asked a simple question, have no clue on the subject matter, when ultimately a decent amount of common sense is whats needed to answer correctly.

I feel for people in interviews as its so difficult to find the right candidates, based on a meeting that lasts for 30 mins.Confident people normally get the job, but people with poor interview skills, who well may be the best person dont get a look in, its tough for them.maybe i need to right my own IQ test for work, lmao

Ask yourself this question :-

If i did the test again, would i or should i get the same result? If not, why not?

For those that got low scores, take it again, this time pick random answers

I did an interview skills session. They showed a film of three candidates. Briefly one was a young woman, chatted constantly to the receptionist ate a sandwich which when called in gave the empty packet to the receptonist. In the interview she did all the talking

The next was a bossy woman who said in her prevous job the people she worked with were well below her and never liked any of them because all they talked about was soap operas.

The last was a bloke who had worked in a different type job at one place for over 20 years was not too confident about the job but said he was hard working and got on with everybody.

The job was a type of receptionist at a front desk of the workplace.

May not be enough information without seeing the whole film but who would you offer the job to?

I've never been a receptionist, but it seems like it's all about presenting an image of the company and listening to what people are looking for. Eating a sandwich and doing all the talking goes against both so I wouldn't hire the sandwich woman. The bloke will end up leaving after a short time. Which just leaves the bossy woman.

I agree, not the best 3 choices to choose from, so it shows how hard it can be to choose

you could say the bossy woman, isnt ideal either, as she could possibly be rude to customers

I've actually taken a proper Mensa test and it's a lot longer than that. This test is okay as a rough guide but I wouldn't take it that seriously.

No sarcasm. I was actually being genuine for a change.

Dear Dean,

Thank you for your interest in the test at IQTest.com.

Your general IQ score is: 109

Very disappointed with that :(

nature and instinct says the woman with the sandwich, but i would have gone for the bloke, hard to say without seeing the film

I said advertise the job again. But the bossy one was saying all the type of people she didnt like. Not good for a front desk job. The sandwich girl wouldnt do any work. She liked to have fun at work.

Only left the bloke and he got it. Shown him greeting people and showing them where to go.. I was just put off with his 'If I dont get the job I will understand' attitude. It just demonstrted how difficult it is. You needed to see the film because of the body language etc and to see how they were dressed.
