New Shirt Return

Taking mine back on saturday it's gone from 'King Power' to 'Kin er' been washed about 7 or 8 times and slowly started to peel with the last couple

Somewhere in the past I remember being told to always wash clothes with transfers, especially footy shirts, inside out to protect them.

Don't know how much this would help but my yellow King Power top hasn't peeled yet and I've washed it inside out all its life!

Here is an email I sent and reply I got form the club back in September:

Dear Pat,

As I'm sure you're aware, there have been more than a few issues with this seasons football shirts. You only need to look here to see proof of that:

http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=74422&st=0

Whilst my emails below attempted to pre-empt a potential sizing issue, when I finally bit the bullet and bought the new away shirt, as was actually pretty happy with the fit - certainly better than last years anyway.

Unfortunately, a strange mark on the back meant it had to be exchanged - not a problem, I thought, that must just be a one-off. My new shirt arrived and to my utter disappointment, the mens medium I had been sent was a completely different fit around the waste, even though it was labelled as the same size.

To say I have given up on Burrda is an under-statement, but the reason for writing this email isn't that I want compensating in any way, even for the £10 I spent sending 2 shirts back at no gain whatsoever. I am curious to exactly what is being done about the sham that is this years kit? I have always liked buying replica shirts, I have about 10 of them from over the years; and I feel at a loss as to why, due to quality reasons, I have been forced to abandon my 'collection'.

Please can you tell me what measures are in place to avoid this in the future because as a fan who wishes to visibly support my team, due to some very poor decision making (in appointing a 2nd rate kit manufacturer), I cannot. I feel this is totally unacceptable. I know of no other supporters having to put up with this. Hell, I've had fewer issues buying from Primark and there's not an item of clothing in that shop with a £40 price tag!

I am also curious as to whether you actually even fully acknowledge the problem, as I suspect much of the customer feedback goes uncaptured by your retail staff - valuable feedback that some companies would pay thoussands of pounds for? To be honest, your whole retail operation could do with an overhaul - I even had to ring the mail order department when my refund hadn't materialized after over 2 weeks of it being signed for by them, only to be told they'd had difficulties in processing it - well thanks for the phone call!

I must apologise for this 'rant' but I'm hugely disappointed with the whole situation and as life-long fan, don't feel we deserve this.

As mentioned, I'd love to hear what the club has in place to overcome this, so if you could possibly find the time, inbetween processing refunds, please do let me know.

Many thanks

Dear xxxxx

Thank you for your email. I am really sorry you are having constant problems with the kit and thank you for taking the time to include the forum link for us.

Your comments have been forwarded to our senior staff who are taking them very seriously. The Club is currently reviewing its options to ensure that in future the kit quality meets the aspirations of our fans and the Club. We are also pleased to inform you that in the process of improving our customer service procedures we are reviewing our customer service resources to ensure that instances of poor service, like the one you have suffered, are not repeated.

We are happy to exchange any shirt of poor quality.

The Club has invested significant amounts in refurbishing the Fanstore to international standards and intends to bring the whole experience of shopping with us to the same standard. This is work in progress but we hope that the improvements will soon become clear to our fans.

Please be assured all supporter feedback is recorded and we again thank you for your input.

Kind regards

Pat McConnell

I bought the home kit for my 2 year old after the Derby match, and after just two washes the K is peeling off and a few of the letters have split. Needless to say it will be going back. I don't understand it though as I've had my adult shirt since july, and (as yet) have had no problems with it. Think Burrda have cooked their goose on this one, can't see city using them again.

Is it to late now to take my away shirt back, it has been replaces once and only washed on 40 inside out logo is coming off again. Ive had enough hand want a refund this time. I paid £40.00 for it and beginning of season.

They'll refund you, but don't be surprised if they only refund you £15,considering that's how much they are now.

I believe they do apply the sponsor themselves, I went in to the megastore after college on Wednesday and the workers were just unpacking boxes of some new away shirts all of which were blank bar the club badge and burrda logo, makes sense considering they offer to reprint the sponsor. On a side note the away shirt looks great

Without a sponsor

errmmm hate to burst your bubble there but the away shirt has never been made without a KP logo ... all faults are down to burrda including the faulty king power logo. When i took it back the guy said it was almost like they were being made in two different places where one lot were fine and the other just fell apart.

Also, if you need a new shirt get it back quickly because they are running out of shirts and wont exchange it for next years, you'll just get a voucher for about 10 quid if u take it back after they run out.

My son took his fourth one back last weekend lol it also had a name on the back, they gave him a new shirt and even asked if he wanted the same name or if he wanted to change it no charge

Am I the only one who doesn't have a problem with the kit? Never had any peeling or crumbling or any malfunction, so to speak and I wear and wash it fairly regularly.

Will they do it with last years shirt?

why would they exchange last years shirt? You've had it for at least 9/10 months now so its just wear and tear ... As for me im gonna go get my fox leisure t-shirts out of the cupboard im sure one of them has a fault on it maybe i can take it back =P

The first one I got was shocking straight out of the bag, but they swopped it no problem.

Can't imagine you'd get very far with refunds now. It's like eating half a dinner then taking it back and complaining!

I found a load of my old Fox Leisure shirts yesterday, still look brand new!

I actually asked at the fanstore yesterday about this, they said if you had your receipt you could get all your money back, but if you don't you can only swap it for something of current value.

Im now on my fifth shirt.
