Zingari Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 We were slowly drowning, why wait? yes , let's drown quick
Haydos Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 We were slowly drowning, why wait? Slowly drowning? Last week we were 2 points off 2nd place. A win and a few results going our way at the weekend would have put us there. Can't help but feel this was a tad too hasty.
tewkesbury-fox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Thanks Sven would i have liked to see you given until xmas, but alas it was not to be all the best.
LCFC_Kraken Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I think everyone is shocked and dissapointed about the sacking. But he's gone, we can voice our opinion but it won't change the manager's mind. Sven will be dissapointed with this year, after missing out on the play off's last term. That itself was viewed as a failure. I think he brought in too many big names and didn't allow the fairly successful team from last year continue into this. I also feel that he made mistakes with players and formations etc. But thats life. Gutted that he's gone, still in shock, poor decision, but lets move on with our owners.
Guest MattP Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Guess what - it's going to be a lot more fun comes this Saturday!!! Remember Middlesbrough vs. Manchester City in 2008? 8-1. Enjoy!! Using an 8-1 defeat as point to keep him? Of course, the players deliberately lost that didn't they?......
MC Prussian Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Using an 8-1 defeat as point to keep him? Of course, the players deliberately lost that didn't they?...... No, Middlesbrough were just better on the day. Or weren't they? I was merely trying to say that I'm really curious as to how the team will present itself at Upton Park on Saturday.
One Arm Babba Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 My dad and brother (vincenoir) were lucky enough to visit the training ground on Friday and were welcomed by Sven and a few players. Our family has a bit of football pedigree from Denmark and Sven along with Kasper were only too happy to talk to them at length about all things football and LCFC. When I told my brother the news today as he is travelling back to Denmark, he was gobsmacked. This didn't appear to be on the cards at all on Friday. I feel for Sven. We had a good manager that was worthy of respect. Given the full season, who's to say we wouldn't have got promoted? It saddens me, but, this is English football, and they must have someone lined up. I don't think it will be this week, that would show no class. My gut feeling says it will be Mark Hughes, early next week. Not happy at all. I just hope that come the end of the season that Top gets his wish.

A side with some width and creativity and above all hopefully a team selected to go away and try and win a football match rather than set out for a 0-0. The players can talk about being annoyed, gutted whatever, the fact is there inept performances have contributed to his dismissal, if they had much respect for him some of them could of considerably upped their game over the last few weeks.

Aaaaah - look at that!! So it wasn't just all Sven's fault?? The truth is slowly, but steadily coming to surface.

Up the Foxes I agree mate, although, I feel a bit violated.... This doesn't feel like the club I grew up with. It'll take me a while to get back on board the "Top Bus"
I am Rod Hull Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Thought my lad was joking when he told me.... Stay calm boys and girls.... Its for the bests...
Guest MattP Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Aaaaah - look at that!! So it wasn't just all Sven's fault?? The truth is slowly, but steadily coming to surface. Of course, it's a combination of a few things, no one has ever denied that. Combination of poor performance and totally inept tactical decisions has cost him this job, along with the fact he seemed to think a side could be creative enough agaisnt different sides without width. That is the truth, whether you like it of not.

Yeah, Leicester City has long gone, this team have the same badge and play in Leicester but that's where it ends. We need the pride brought back, only way to do that is stability.

Guest Col city fan Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Cheers Sven and thanks for that annihilation of the sheep shaggers... The king is dead!! Long live the king......
ithuriel Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 goodbye sven, you have been a gentleman and tried your best and i only wish thing's could have worked out better.
costafox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Goodbye Sven and thanks for all you tried to do for Leicester City. I think you have been treated shabbily and should have been given until Christmas at least. You have been a gentleman and have never made excuses when the team have played badly. I think that some of the players should hang their heads in shame because they haven't put in the effort needed to get us into a position to challenge and have been indisciplined at times which has lost us points. The only serious contender I would accept to replace Sven is Martin O'Neill - I think he will kick the ass of the players that seriously need it.
flowwolf Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Judging by his reaction to piss poor game against Milwall , splitting the players into groups of three and telling them to write down what went wrong he had clearly lost the players weeks ago. Can you imagine Ferguson doing that to Man unt after their defeat on Sunday ? A lot has gone on in the background that we did not hear about and I feel the players did not understand his tactics or want to play for him in the end. Top and co knew that and knew it was not going to get any better. The end was inevitable weather it was now or Christmas. At least with only still being two points off a play off place the new manager will have a chance to do something with this season and if he doesn't no one will blame him. I have to admit I never thought Sven was a good choice in the first place as he appeared and turned out to be a spent force but i'm sure he will manage to survive on his millions he made out of football. Lets give the new manager our full backing and move on. I'm convinced the new manager has already been tapped up and ready to step forward that's business in football like it or not. Who ever he be he will have a head start as I am convinced we have the players to get us up they just need new tactics and better motivation , the two things I always felt Sven lacked. It's never dull being a Leicester fan . Come on you blues lets write another glorious chapter in our history , Sven is gone the future now looks a little brighter. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
