I am Rod Hull Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Gola... Too many years ago to remember where from or how much...
broughtonblue Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Patrick super keegan, all black with two White downward stripes on the outside of the heel.
Phube Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Probably Umbro, with moulded studs in about 1987...
Jordan Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I don't know anything about them for sure except that they were made by Patrick. I think they were black with green and purple trim, and probably of poor quality--not that I cared or knew much about what great boots felt like anyway.
rico Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Can't find a pic but they were white pvc with black moulded studs endorded by George Best, cost about a fiver from Plumbers on Victoria Road East !
Yojoe36 Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Dark Blue Umbro ones. They lasted a while. Then a s**te pair. Then Nike Total 90's. The one's from 2003 ish time.
Finnegan Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Very, very, VERY first were a Patrick pair when I was about seven or eight. First two pairs I remember giving a crap about were a bright red pair of Puma Kings when I was about twelve (the only goalkeeper in the U13s league with red boots) that my dad made me do a shitload of keep-ups for. Pretty sure he didn't think I'd actually do it.
Guest Bilo Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I think some bastard nicked em from the changing room as well.
Finnegan Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I think some bastard nicked em from the changing room as well. I got given a white pair when they decided I was too small to be a keeper ( ) and too quick not to be a winger ( ) I basically thought I was the tits.
pSinatra Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 A pair of black Puma when I was about 8 yrs old. They had white moulded studs, when I actually wanted screw-in studs like everybody else. They were pretty decent boots & were probably quite expensive, when everybody else was wearing shite bought for a couple of quid in Asda. Bought from Roys Sports in Wigston in the late 70's.........an Aladdin's cave of a shop!!
pSinatra Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I think some bastard nicked em from the changing room as well. I was already too old for football by the time Craig Johnston invented these. Maybe not too old, but already smoking 20 a day!!
FoxesAreBlue Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Black with luminous yellow logos (I think they were gola) with matching sondico shin pads. From Roy Sports that used to be in wigston
LCFCmatt Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Puma. Mainly white, with some black and gold. Beautiful.
BoneDog Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Black Dunlop with moulded studs I think around '86. Maybe Umbro.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I had a pair that used to belong to my uncle - they had steel toe-caps. I kid you not.
Finchy Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 About 1996 when I was 5/6, no idea what brand, i'm guessing Puma but they were a Faustino Asprilla version with his signature printed on them. Is it me or are the current load of boots revolting? They all seem to be lime green. Bring back these beauts
