Stay Positive Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Officially the least successful manager in our history, but not many of us would say he was our worst manager. He certainly fits with the "manager who knows the division" quote from the owners. It's highly unlikely I know, but would you be worried if it happened? Maybe he could do a Tony Pulis and have a happy and successful second coming? Admittedly I'm not keen on the idea though...
Kitchandro Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Do you really expect people to say 'yeh I forgive him, lets get him in'?
Stay Positive Posted 26 October 2011 Author Posted 26 October 2011 Do you really expect people to say 'yeh I forgive him, lets get him in'? Not really, no. But then, I forgave him pretty quickly as I blamed others more than Holloway for that season.
Kitchandro Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Not really, no. But then, I forgave him pretty quickly as I blamed others more than Holloway for that season. That doesn't mean he wan't partly to blame at least. But I'm not having that debate, lets just say it's ridiculous that we've gone from talking about Martin O'Neill to Ian Holloway.

We have to face up to the fact that it's over.
Kitchandro Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 True. Just trying to get some non-O'Neill posts up though. We have to face up to the fact that it's over. Well this is definitely a good way of bringing people crashing back to earth

Stay Positive Posted 26 October 2011 Author Posted 26 October 2011 no its not. he won't leave us for parkhead elsom will convince him. Apparently there's an ex-England manager lined up who played for Spurs. Nothing can go wrong there, surely.

Don't forget the other ex-England manager either will you There is for me one more ex- England manager that i genuinely believe will do the job. K.K.
foxsake123 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 He's decent promoted out of this division twice 90+ points.
accessory Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 There are a lot worse candidates than Keegan out there.
Stay Positive Posted 27 October 2011 Author Posted 27 October 2011 Are you out of your fcuking mind? I'm out of my fking mind because I posted something the Mercury had as a possible scenario on its back page and said I wasn't keen on the idea?
Guest ttfn Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Either Hoddle or Keegan would be good appointments in my book. Not earth-shatteringly good, but at least we'd play some good football.
Simi Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Holloway is a lot more comfortable at a smaller club with more realistic exceptions. We found that out when he was here. I can't see him being considered to manage the type of squad we now have.

Does he still come with mystic meg and the most offensive, victimisation of disabled supporters in modern football history ?

Does he still come with mystic meg and the most offensive, victimisation of disabled supporters in modern football history ? What a massive over-reaction to someones religious beliefs. We could do a lot worse than Hoddle and judging by some of the names linked, we probably will.
iancognito Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Hoddle or Keegan would certainly be the "name" that they would want. I think of the two I'd have to go for Hoddle. And then hope that if successful he doesn't get the Tottenham job in a years time.
Nick Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 He said that people who were disabled had done something wrong in a former life and were being punished. Is that an over reaction?I find that offensive and blindly stupid, if that's his mentality then there will be no reasoning with him on formation and team line ups!

And Paolo Di Canio is a self proclaimed fascist. Does that stop him doing his job? Are you saying he won't be picking any disabled players in his team line ups, bacause of those beliefs?
Nick Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Yes it does - look at the relationship problems fascists have! What if he decides not to pick black players or gay players because of his beliefs?Never mind his relationship with supporters?

I fully understand. But, how will that affect our players/selection/formation if Hoddle is appointed?
