Guest Col city fan Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 Oh well.. Marked improvement on last season!
shen Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 Fryatt is the scorer for Hull Are we seriously going to mention every time Fryatt scores for Hull? Couldn't care less really...
cc_star Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 Aimless long balls, I've missed those. Suits Portsmouth to spoil the game If it stays like this much longer we'd be better served by Howard, maybe change a midfielder to add a bit of pace
Corky Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 At least we're not in disarray like last year in this fixture.
sphericalfox Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 Did anyone believe we were going to repeat the performance of a team eager to please and get attention of a new manager? I certainly don't. I do hope the second half is much much better, as I don't want this to be a sign of things to come, and what I feared. Trying to keep optimistic as this is an away game....but......

sphericalfox Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 It was 0-0 and average at HT last week. Yes, but at least we had some shots on target and were playing at home.
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 Could be wrong but this game has one nil either way written all over it
Bob Farley Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 I remember last time pearson was our manager, we always played better in the second half. Hope thats the case today aswell, if not, get howard on! haha

Unfortunately there's more than one team on the pitch who wants 3 points & all of P'mouths 5 wins this season have come at home. Tough game, they all are really.
Brown Fox Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 This was the case under Pearson a lot in the 2009/10 season as well. But saying that I still have massive confidence we can still get something out of this game because he'll get us going after half time and we'll keep fighting for the next 45 minutes and hopefully sneak a couple of goals.
Icelandicfox Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 Are we seriously going to mention every time Fryatt scores for Hull? Couldn't care less really... It is getting boring isn't it... he's gone get over it ffs stop it. Please
Guest Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 Are we seriously going to mention every time Fryatt scores for Hull? Couldn't care less really... Why not? Ex-Leicester Pearson took him there and has just come back Hull in playoff position that we want. I've never disagreed with him being transferred but I think it's interesting to follow how he progresses.

I wasn't being negative, but for those who were convinced that Pearson was just needing to get the turd polish out and we were going to cruise to the playoffs, might now need a word with themselves. He has the same problems as Sven. Unable to bring in wingers. Pearson will have even a harder time to do so. They are a scarce commodity.

To be fair to Nige he had a loan market and 11 days, Sven had £20 million and 12 months.
Guest Posted 26 November 2011 Posted 26 November 2011 First time I've heard King's name today. Kasper must be the best keeper we've had for many years.

It's difficult, Sven tookover 12 pts from 2nd, and we were 12 pts from 2nd before Pearson's 1st game too. Pearson has 6 games less than Sven did to make up the difference & he arrived too late for the early loan window missing out on a couple of signings according to reports this week. yeah people get carried away both ends of the spectrum, hopefully tough games like this will give everyone a sense of the reality of the situation
