Happy Fox Posted 27 November 2011 Posted 27 November 2011 We very rarely played well under Sven, in fact I found his type of football boring for the most part. NP will turn us around and I am sure he will get us into the play offs thus year. Just hope we have better luckk than last time round. We may well do with Kasper in goal bound to save a penalty or two or any other shot for that matter
Head Honcho Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 not good enough, word of advice Pearson, if you don't want to end up like Sousa and Eriksson, try to avoid results like todays. One word..............TWAT!
Head Honcho Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 Very hard ground to get points from so anyone dissatisfied with this result clearly needs to watch more football. My only worry would be that we need to have better quality players than Howard coming on as sub.
Burmesefox Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 I'm confused.. Why should Beckford need to 'look sharper'? He's a premiership striker that should be looking 'sharp' already? Shouldn't he? Are you saying that Sven knocked his confidence, played him wrongly such that Pearson has got to 'improve him'. I would expect Beckford to be good now, not 'getting better' because he is still settiling in after an injury and a change of club that hasn't gone too swiftly. You can demand of him and scream at him but he needs the kid glove treatment (something NP recognises) suggest we all cut him some slack and judge after 20 games. He needs some bromance!
Fox92 Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 Saw the highlights yesterday. Thought the goal was Mills' fault - he passed the ball clear to the edge of our area, instead of thumping it clear out of play, over the stands or into the Pompey half.

It's been said he's a disaster waiting to happen.... oh no that was Bamba
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 not good enough, word of advice Pearson, if you don't want to end up like Sousa and Eriksson, try to avoid results like todays. What getting a draw against a good team at home who only conceded 1 goal in 3 home games not good enough for you? 4 points from the first 2 games, not to mention Portsmouth had a new manager so all their players were fighting for their place in the team
Guest ttfn Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 It's been said he's a disaster waiting to happen.... oh no that was Bamba As I've said before, I'd consider Bamba far more "dependable" than Mills. Just because Mills is more technically limited than Bamba, doesn't make him more reliable.
allotment-fox Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 I was at the game second half was far better not sure what the manager's said at half time but both teams they came out and played the game at a high tempo end to end not really what Pearson wanted by all accounts. Kasper did great we all know he can do it week in week out Pearson must be pleased with him in goal Not sure about Beckford seems to come over as a shirker rather than a worker but time will tell. having said that well worth the money spent long trip had a few beers beforehand in a local pub and the local fans were OK with me great banter ground crap my seat was rusted up and stuck up toilets were pre war how they ever get away with it these days I'll never know massive support on a cold and windy November day up the foxes
