Callabinho Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Our owners are loaded, money is no object to them I dare say we could have £20m to spend in January if we wanted to. Seems that way, would love to see ward here! Great little player!
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Author Posted 11 December 2011 Seems that way, would love to see ward here! Great little player! Very nippy player reminds me of Guppy in that sense, Adomah on the other wing would be good. Also rumors we may as well as West Ham put in a £4m bid for Whittingham.
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Author Posted 11 December 2011 I wonder how many other teams fans we will piss off by poaching their players
darko2k7 Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 I feel that what the team is really missing is a real match winner someone who strikes fear into the other team , Bit like the Yak did when he arrived. And of course two wingers.

darko2k7 Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Who would fit that description Michael Owen? No don't think he as that effect anymore , well i don't see him that way anymore. I'm racking my fifa gained player knowledge mind to think of a realistic player to do this job and as yet nobody stands out

I'm racking my fifa gained player knowledge mind to think of a realistic player to do this job and as yet nobody stands out If we are able to get Jamie Ward, Albert Adomah, Peter Whittingham and lets say Billy Sharp that would be good enough.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 I'd rank our defence as one of the best in the division. We also have the best keeper in the division in my eyes. Beckford and Nugent aren't too bad either, its just the midfield. Once thats sorted, we'll be good enough for play offs, maybe even the top four.
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Author Posted 11 December 2011 Jamie Ward is shite! Not according to Derby fans he is their best player and they would be loathed if they lost him.
Kitchandro Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Koren's a good player but we need something a bit different. Pass, pass, pass will only get us so far. We need some individuality. He would at least shoot though. How old is he anyway?
Tinman Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Jamie Ward is shite! This. Wouldn't touch him with yours.

He would at least shoot though. How old is he anyway? 31, maybe offer him a 2 year contract. Main thing is he has played consistently well in the upper echelons in this division and has prem experience.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Recent opinion on Adomah here from a Bristol City fan: http://theseventytwo.com/football-league/championship/2011/12/03/the-25-best-players-in-the-championship-voted-for-by-you-part-3-of-25/
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Author Posted 11 December 2011 Recent opinion on Adomah here from a Bristol City fan: http://theseventytwo...u-part-3-of-25/ Seems very good a significant improvement on Dyer lets bring him in!
Jackirius Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Is this just the same article as the Sven one last season with a few names replaced?
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Author Posted 11 December 2011 Is this just the same article as the Sven one last season with a few names replaced? Well it is pretty obvious NP will splash the cash this January so their is no surprise with what the article is stating.
Kitchandro Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Is this just the same article as the Sven one last season with a few names replaced? Yep!
Fox1651 Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Were an absolute disgrace at the moment, woeful, spend £10 million all they want but unless its quality hungry players who want to put some fookin effort in it wont make any difference
Yojoe36 Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 £10mill won't do jack shit. I fear next year will just be an utter embarrassment.
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Author Posted 11 December 2011 What is with the despondent attitudes FFS, NP will bring in quality in the January window. If we don't get promoted this season, their is a good chance we can push for automatic promotion next season a bit of patience is required keep the Faith UTF
JadeFalcon Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 if we want to get to the prem and stay there, we need to be spending £10mil on a single player, rather than having £10mil spent on 5 or 6 players and hoping we get a lucky buy like we did with kasper. £10mil sounds like a lot of money but it is nothing, some prem teams spend up to 4 times as much as that on single players look at what teams are buying players for. eg. wolves... roger johnson £7m. steven fletcher £6.5m. just 2 examples
StrovolosTiger Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 I'll tell you what you lot should do. Forget about signing anyone in January it would just be throwing good money after bad. You've signed just about every big name outside the Prem already no doubt with huge wages. Your manager has already gone on record as saying you have a very talented squad.........try working with them and build success rather than trying to buy it or steal someone elses.
ithuriel Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Pearson as a good eye for player's, his past record show's this but this time he will actually have some decent money to spend. Hopefully he can get the player's he requires without being held to ransom. If so i'm quite optimistic for this season, football is a game that can turn form and expectation on it's head
