Yojoe36 Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Pearson as a good eye for player's, his past record show's this but this time he will actually have some decent money to spend Very good point. Jay Spearing and Tom Cleverly being two of them Don't forget about Steve Walsh though, as he does recruitment and stuff
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Author Posted 11 December 2011 I'll tell you what you lot should do. Forget about signing anyone in January it would just be throwing good money after bad. You've signed just about every big name outside the Prem already no doubt with huge wages. Your manager has already gone on record as saying you have a very talented squad.........try working with them and build success rather than trying to buy it or steal someone elses. I tell you what to do stop telling us what to do.

You can't steal success in footy, unless you bribe the officials and buying success is actually not that easy. I remember a quote from the nineties, it went something like, money guarantees nothing but i'd rather have it than not. Having been a team for long before i was born with much money but still being reasonably successful it is kind of nice to actually have some for once. It does of course bring it's own headaches with so many clubs now hating on Leicester
Libertine Dream Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 NP will hopefully get rid of some of the dead wood in our squad and cut it down a fair bit. Then bring in a couple of quality additions. I don't understand why people are moaning, money helps massively in the end and unlike Sven, NP won't be like a kid in a sweet shop. If its not this year then it will be next year we go up.

Is "Spiders" still a nightclub in Hull?
JadeFalcon Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 spurs 08/09 £82M... 09/10 £27M... 10/11 £18M.... 11/12 £8M enough said £10M is peanuts.. sick of rebuilding ****ing squads every season. we need to stick with what we've got buy one or two expensive players and start farming out the shit ones first thing we need to be doing is offering kasper whatever he wants to keep him here... we are only in the league position we are now thanks to him keeping the ball out of the bloody net
SMX11 Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 I don't think Pearson will splash the cash, he will find the right types of player in terms of position and character, the latter is something we terribly lack. From memory I think the last time we have come back from 1-0 down to winning is that Cardiff match under Sousa. That isn't good enough.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Its difficult but ultimately we have to trust NP to turn things around
Haydos Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 i just hope we dont buy anymore hasbins, look at chelsea ,how many hasbins have they bought and regretted. now they seem to be changing there system and bringing pace and energy into the side ok i accept we are not quite chelsea yet (well not in money terms anyway) what i am saying is we need youth, pace and passion that is what the fans thrive on,you can feel the lack of energy in the crowd. we are a passionate lot who luv to see youngsters come good, not watch hasbins topping up there pension funds from our loyal hardworking supporters Do you mean 'has-been'? What has-beens play for us? Arguably Nugent and Konchesky, buuuuuuut they've been two of our best players. Fernandes (25), Johnson (23), Beckford (28), Mills (25), St Ledger (26), Schmeichel (25), Peltier (24) or Paintsil (30)....who exactly do you mean?

Off the top of my memory, there's Doncaster at home last season, Sharp scored first, game ending 5-1. Watford at home last year too, we were behind twice and won. Probably a couple more that escape my memory, too.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Adomah has devastating pace and has been key in Bristol City's improvements of late, possibly more so than Maynard. You just know their fans will cry for days if he signs for us as well.

I don't know whether the pressure of the owners is having an effect on the players but they certainly don't have enough heart to come back into games.

Or the pressure that their jobs are on the line perhaps that is why they are underperforming knowing they will be off come the window.
ithuriel Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Or the pressure that their jobs are on the line perhaps that is why they are underperforming knowing they will be off come the window. If that is the case then they are not good enough to be where we want to be.

But whilst good teams come from behind, really good teams don't go behind in the first place.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 "HappyFox" I completely agree with this for me I would like Stewart and Adomoah/Brady then creative midfielder I thought Koren was quite creative for them and finally I would move for Maynard/Sharp then we can push for play-offs !!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Dont be surprised if we try and sign Robert Koren. That I would love.
MPH Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Dont be surprised if we try and sign Robert Koren. in a player ( Wellens) plus cash deal?

What makes me laugh is when people say we will never survive with these players in the prem bla bla bla. What division are we in? How much did teams like blackpool, Norwich, Swansea, Hull etc etc etc spend to get them up? Not much, they bought players with passion, determination and hunger t succeed rather than spending 10 mil "peanuts" on one big name player who is past his best and has no desire to work hard to get to the prem
dannythefox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 If were getting a winger I would be surprised if Cameron Stewart wasn't near the top of the list!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 We could swop Jermaine Beckford for a decent forward
Number 6 Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 We could swop Jermaine Beckford for a decent forward I'd take less than that
dannythefox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 We could swop Jermaine Beckford for a decent forward You'll be moaning more when waghorn's back upfront!
callis Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Think Darren Ambrose would be great. Get a winger and were laughing
