There's a lot of scope for getting rid of some players but will any team want them?

Moreno might end up being one of our longest serving players!!

You've got to let a few go Nige.

The squad needs trimming in areas and quality added in others.

A good point was made earlier to be fair.

Some of the players may be difficult to ship out..

If Nige wanted to offload anyone like Danns or even Beckford (which I doubt he would) but if he did, their wages are relatively high.

Who would want to take Beckford for instance, from a four year 25k a week contract?

It will be difficult to get certain players out, but we need to try.

More signings will just add to the numbers. If they're of a better quality then great but that still leaves plenty of players who won't get much of a look in and still taking wages from the club.

Agree completely Corky.. I just agree that it may not be easy as people think..

To be fair your teams doing well considering you've not spent vast amounts of money. I do fail to see the 'special' relationship but you do have a steady squad a few standout players and some being man u Loans as you say. I think hull fans pride has been damaged with nigel leaving to a lower position club, but we can offer him alot more than you in terms of wages and potential to make it to the prem with the money available. clearly money does not buy the league as many of us thought would happen this season

Goodness, a sensible Leicester City fan!

I don't think what happened with Pearson was a pride issue, more a disappointment issue really. We are dour northerners, you know, muck and brass, flat cap and whippets and all that. We thought Pearson was the same as us honest, hard working, no frills, honourable, reliable, simple, etc etc. Turns out he's a quitter. As soon as something better (financially) comes up, he's off. We thought he had the integrity and determination to see the job done, but no. We've done the booos now, it was fun as well, that was about us venting our collective spleens as well, couldn't care less how he felt. So we now move on, simple, and to be honest Barmby being one of our own makes it so much easier as well, lets hope he works.

The way I look at it, unless your Man City with unlimited finances, you have to develop teams organically; evolution rather than revolution. I've got nothing against Leicester City as a club but I do have a problem with the game-plan of simply trying to buy success. In times when our national game has so many money problems and so many clubs are doing their best to re-capture control of a ridiculous wages situation, it grinds a bit when one club flies in the face of what the rest are trying to achieve. That is why you lot are fast becoming the most disliked club in the division. It really isn't about jealousy, which a lot of you dismiss any criticism as. It's about trying to drag back a situation that sometime soon is going to result in a number of clubs going out of business. We were one of these clubs 18 months ago (unbeknown to us fans) and thanks be to Allah a white knight came and saved us. We were VERY lucky, others might not be so.

As for the 'special relationship' well that's simply down to Warren Joyce who used to be our player and our manager in a particularly emotional period in our history. That and the fact United know they can trust us to look after their youngesters when they come on loan, something they value highly. It's been a really productive relationship as well, especially since we have been going through an austerity period since relegation from the Premiership. We now have 4 lads on our books that came through this process Chester, Evans, Stewart and Dudgeon with Brady currently on loan, all of who are excellent players both in terms of ability and character.

So there we have it. Pearson for all his personality issues, is a good manager and would eventually bring you success. Somehow, though, I just wonder whether your current owners have the patience to let him develop a squad capable of getting promotion, as unless you improve significantly and win the lottery of the play-offs, I cannot see you going up automatically this season.

For me, we are capable of playing two formations if we can get 2 or 3 players:

4-4-2

SCHMEICHEL

PELTIER................TUNCHEV..........BAMBA............KONCHESKY

(NEW WINGER)................FERNANDES..............(NEW CENTRE MID).............(NEW WINGER)

NUGENT............BECKFORD

OR

4-3-3

SCHMEICHEL

PELTIER................TUNCHEV..........BAMBA............KONCHESKY

KING/WELLENS..........FERNANDES.......(NEW CENTRE MID)

(NEW WINGER)..........NUGENT/BECKFORD............GALLAGHER/(NEW WINGER)

It's pivotal that the wingers have a turn of pace and a final ball, whilst the centre midfielder must be able to dribble and unlock defences. I'd also like them to be youg, spending money on has-beens like Kebe and Koren (who isn't even the right kind of central midfielder) won't be good enough. Fernandes will be instructed to focus on winning the ball and protecting the back four, since that is what he's suited to and is very capable of doing so. For this reason we do not need to buy a player like him.

I don't think he will have anything near that much to spend! He be lucky to to get 3 million. We all know what he'll do... Bring waghorn back thinking it will solve our striker issue and a couple or loan signings.

Well if he is to bring in loans they need to be of the quality that Mark Davies and Tom Cleverley were, and that is the kind of player we need.

Otherwise we can forget it.

£10 MILLION, CHRIST, WE JUST KEEP SPENDING AND SPENDING. BUT WE DO NOT BUY ANYONE DECENT. WE NEED A COUPLE OF MIDFIELDERS, KOREN IS A NO GO AS HULL'S CHAIRMAN WILL NOT SELL ANYONE TO US (FULL STOP). I WOULD NOT GIVE PEARSON 2 MILLION TO SPEND AS HIS TENURE IS SURELY ON A KNIFE EDGE ATM.

WE MEED A MANAGER WHO WILL LET HIS TEAM PLAY, NOT KEEP THEM ON A LEAD AND SAY 'DO NOT LET ANY GOALS IN'

PEARSON OUT, TAYLOR IN!

There's an ignore feature, just block him and stop responding. If it's a troll then he wants exactly that reaction, matey.

I hope we don't waste money on Koren, he's slowing down a bit, but I'm not sure what you mean by he's the wrong sort of midfielder. He's one of few that are exactly the right sort of midfielder.

hmm, no, he wants people to respond to his posts as if he were actually a Leicester fan.

Koren isn't a dribbler, he can pass and shoot but we're desperate for some real individuality.

I disagree completely, to be honest.

What this team lacks is a player that'll get in to space, receive the ball and then have the vision to quickly pick out a pass. I don't give a shit if he can take eight people on and score on his own.

What we essentially need is the player Richie Wellens thinks he is.

Well there's that, but that should be the case anyway.

I'm not asking players to take everyone on and score on their own, but we need someone who at least has the ability to beat players because we are not good enough to pass through them as a team. If you want to do that it's not good enough to have just one player who can pass quickly, you need everyone to do it and the movement off the ball needs to be a lot better.

When teams get men behind the ball we've got nothing, we need players who can make something out of nothing.

I think we are a good passing side, to be honest, we've illustrated that under previous managers. Gallagher, Wellens, King, Danns, Nugent, Konchesky, Peltier, Abe, Fernandes - all good at playing a reasonably quick passing game.

What we lack is someone with the vision to turn that possession and passing in to actual penetration. I suppose having someone run through a team is one answer (we really missed Mark Davies when he went for exactly that reason) but I'd much rather we sign someone that can really pull the the strings.

Every team that passes the ball around and maintains possession well has that one individual that picks the passes, even right up at Barca's level. As inspired as Messi may be, you take Xavi out of their equation and all of a sudden you've got a bunch of very talented individuals who've completely lost their impetus.

We need a Xavi.. of the Championship.

Andrew Johnson anyone?

If you want a young Koren you should look at Jacob Butterfield.

He seems to have come on leaps and bounds this season, I would love him at Leicester.
