forget the overall performance of the team yesterday, this post concerns the first 15 mins of yesterdays match.

i thought those first minutes we looked really up for it and i was impressed with the tempo and all round team play, but sitting directly behind me in C1 were two 'fans' who from the first minute were saying 'f**k me', or 'he/that was f**cking useless' and similar comments. just wondering why people like that spend hard earned cash going to matches when all they do is moan, even when things aren't that bad?

just to top it all off, as the players came out for the 2nd half (after what i consider to be a good first half display) one of the fans pointed to the clock on the big screen opposite and said 'when that reaches 85 minutes we are off, can't take much more of this' they even knew when they were leaving half way through the match. will be getting my half season ticket tomorrow but will definately be avoiding the seats i sat in yesterday!

They pay the money, they say what they want,

We're all different, life would be boring if we all thought the same, this thread wouldn't be here for a start

Unfortunately, these people sit everywhere.

It's a shame really. A few people like this sat behind me at the Reading game. I was dreading that they were new season ticket holders. Thank fvck they weren't though

Me and my brother were in C1 and it was shocking what I heard from a number of fans from around there - constant moaning all game! And even after Gally scored they were slagging him off. Don't understand why they went to be honest.

And just a rant for the sake of it while...there were also some Peterborough fans in front of us and decided to celebrate in front of us when they scored - twats!

I love a good moan me, but I wouldn't pay £30 a pop to have a moan, I would just read about the result on teletext and then phone Radio Leicester and slag off someone I didn't see play.

To be honest that attitude is prevalent all through the ground and all over this board. I think in part it stems from the fact that we know think we are better than we are, we have ideas above our station and think, based on nothing other than the size of Top's cheque book that we deserve to be competing in this league. Looking at performances and results we deserve to be where we are, we are still an average championship team. We have fancy screens and brand new training facilities but out there on the pitch is what counts and what we are judged on.

Under NP a few seasons ago we would have applauded battling 0-0 away draws, and been upset at dropping points at home to Peterborough but not distraught not calling for wholesale changes and not starting threads about individual players to be dropped/sacked/hung drawn and quartered.

I know you are fans and you pay your money and you have your right to moan, but all of this filters through to the players and staff, it adds pressure and players start to play within themselves to not make a mistake and not take a risk. There is nothing positive that can come from sitting on your hands and grumbling all through a match, and no negatives will come from getting on your feet clapping shouting cheering.

I think a lot of fans need an attitude adjustment, we are Leicester we are average at best, we have no divine right to be anywhere in this league other than where we are, remember Derby County and the "dream team" of the early 90s they threw a lot of money at the team and went nowhere, how long has it taken Man City to get close to where they want to be, same with Chelsea and QPR.

We need to build a team, get an understanding and a team spirit, get players playing for each other and the fans. We also need time, and looking for a quick fix will not help matters, it's like a scab the more you pick at it the longer it takes to heal.
