The Stolen Thread

Thought it may be useful to have one of these!

Over the weekend I've had two drills stolen. A 24v Makita sds drill and a Bosch 110v hammer drill. Stupidly I only wrote 'plumber' on them in pencil.

If anyone gets offered something along those lines, call the police please! Long shot i know, but theyre bound to be sold at some point. The firm are going to replace the bosch drill but the makita one is my own which I can't afford to replace til after Xmas.

In addition to this, does anyone know a firm that allow you to pay monthly when buying drills?

Thanks

Got all excited, thought the thread was about German Christmas cake..........which leads me on to my crap joke i made up a few years back in the style of Tim Vine..

Go up to someone and say"ive got some of that German Christmas cake errr whats it called again" They reply stollen. You say "no i paid for it"

Anyway less of the Mickey piss hope you get your tools back, you can get some ultra violet pens that if you put your post code on and they are recovered by the police you get them back, just for the future pal.

Where were you keeping them for them to be stolen? Outside?

No, in the van. Can't get insurance to cover tools in vans though apparently.

Ohh. I thought you meant someone broke in a house to pinch.... a drill or two.

I know what you mean now. Bad luck :/ I remember when I just finished at college, went to the bike shed to unlock my bike, but someone had pinched it... I was just walking around the bike shed like my bike was going to appear... Just horrible when someone pinches something of your's.

It's not nice. Not when it stops you earning money to put food on the table.

Just sums up the amount of pricks on here who find it funny. They wouldn't find it funny if their presents for the kids had been nicked

Sorry to hear about your drills pal (was gonna say loss but dont think that was appropriate for this topic) but dont someone like Protrade or something ? Tbh dont think a lot of firms do pay monthly now unless your company has an account might be your best shout :dunno:

You really start this thread up to gather sympathy did you? You've been on FT long enough to know it's one big piss take.
