burni Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 he will be somewhere in the team tomorrow i reckon he did great udner nigel so lets hope he can do it again
Narborough_fox Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 Been back for a while but hasn't been eligible because he was sent back with an injury to be treated and not as a loan cancellation. His loan has now expired and I seem to remember reading somewhere that he's fit but just lacking match fitness.
jimbobfox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 I havent posted on here many times in the past, but I asked a friend on Thursday and they said he was still injured, so I doubt he will be available today.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 I thought Pearson said he wouldn't be available to the end of January, may well be my crap memory.
Fox1651 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 I thought Pearson said he wouldn't be available to the end of January, may well be my crap memory. that seems about right from what i can remember also
FOX_TROT_07 Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Does anyone know anymore on this? Looking forward to seeing him in a Leicester shirt again
dannythefox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Does anyone know anymore on this? Looking forward to seeing him in a Leicester shirt again I thought we got Delfoneso on a months loan because thats when waggy would be fit if thats the case it could be after next weekend.
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Good grief - he is rubbish I think when he is fit and raring to go again, Waggy can still be an asset to Leicester
Happy Fox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 I am pretty sure NP said that it was long term injury so cannot see him featuring until April time.
Bugg Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 I can't wait to watch Waghorn sky a shit load of shots over the bar and stick a corner into row Z.

Mack Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 To be frank I'm not that bothered at the moment. Beckford and Nugent are going well and we have option on the bench. He needs to get fit and then prove his is worthy of a bench place.

He didn't get a chance under Sven to show he's better than average. .
sdb Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Waghorn was excellent under Pearson. No reason why he can't reproduce that form (apart from fans almost wanting him to fail...bizarre). Not guaranteed, but I look forward to seeing him back personally.
Happy Fox Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 The thing with Waghorn is he needs game time I doubt we would be able to that offer that to him with Beckford and Nugent upfront will cameo appearances of the bench appeal to him I think not, best thing to do imo is to loan him out at a championship/ league one club just to get game time, then evaluate the situation after that.
FOX_TROT_07 Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I really don't understand all the negative comment about waghorn, everytime he has game time even under Sven he gave 100% he is a quality footballer and not one who's just at the club to pick up a pay check like some. Even though playoffs are a long shot he could just be the difference in us making them or missing out. I for one am excited about seeing him in a Leicester shirt once again
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Waghorn is a typical young striker... They thrive on game time to improve their confidence, fitness levels and experience. Waggy didn't get this under Sven, at a crucial time in his development. Instead, Sven chose to ignore our brightest young players, including Jack Hobbs ( don't forget that Hull currently have the meanest defence in the Championship), in favour of his own signings. Yes, Waghorn can blaze the ball over the bar.. We've seen this many times. We've also seen him rip defences to shreds with his pace and strength and he's scored some sensational goals for the club. There is no reason IMO why Waghorn shouldn't be able to reproduce the qualities he had when he got thrust into our team the first time round. Then, he was being praised as a great young signing, and the future of our attack. But, he needs game time.. And he's not gonna be first choice. We'll see.....

He is a good option to have but I made the point earlier I cannot see him being in the first team this season at all, best thing to do as he had a very nasty hamstring injury is when he is fit to loan him out at a lower league club get some game time then evaluate the situation after that.
acooling08 Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I don't think anyone will disagree with me when I say this: He's a better option as a sub for Beckford/Nugent than Howard.
seenitall Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I actually don't agree - slow and ponderous though he his, Howard still gets in amongst it and creates space for others - Waghorn just wellies the ball whenever he gets it and rarely scores
