Kitchandro Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Yeah, but Neilson's hair was fvcking amazing. If we're naming players that were so shit they were good, then Alan Rodgers. How did that bloke end up playing for us, during a time we were still a decent team? Ah yes. It's just not the same anymore, yeh we've still got shit players but where's the comedy value? Maybe Dyer could fit the description at times. Ormondroyd has to be the ultimate one.
accessory Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 He had ability and the trees were mightily miffed when he moved to us after his contract there ended. But he never really fulfilled potential with us, and rarely seemed to relish the physical demands of the Championship. He had the occasional decent game for us (Charlton away in the FA Cup springs to mind) but couldn't produce that type of form on a consistent basis. His best performance was probably on Boxing Day 2006 - at Hull of all places, where he inspired us to an unlikely victory, scoring the winner himself. The following month, a financially-strapped (pre-Mandaric) City flogged him to Watford (then a premier club) for £500k, only for his career to be ended by injury weeks later. While he never quite plumbed the depths of Stephen Hughes or Andy Johnson (another ex-tree) during his time at the Way, his time at City was hardly a successful one for him or us. However, if he was still fit and on the club's books, he would definitely contend with Wellens or King for a central-midfield berth, which says plenty about how that duo have under-achieved to date during the current season.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 In fairness is any current or ex player rated by the fans here?
I am Rod Hull Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 In fairness is any current or ex player rated by the fans here? Kermo was decent...
Tielemans63 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Gareth Williams = non entity. It's scary to think back to the side 'created' by Craig Levein - there must have been some unbelievably shit teams in the Champ for that side to have stayed up.
chavdonk Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Talented, but went missing in a lot of matches. An older Andy King then!
Jon25747 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Talented, but went missing in a lot of matches. Andy King Mk0 An older Andy King then! Andy King Mk0 Bugger!
Alan Young Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Once on holiday got chatting to a Scot who turned out to be a friend of Williams' dad; He said Gareth Wlliams was completely disinterested in football, didn't really like playing. Got to say I could see that in his performances, explained a lot really.

I think that explains the complete lack of interest in football.
One Arm Babba Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 He was like a cross between a turd and a shopping trolley with a wonky wheel.... ... Altogether, crap and ****ing useless.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Momo Sylla Just so unbelievably shit that I actually liked him - much like, for instance, Barry Hayles. I remember always going on about how shit Momo was but then I met him after playing Palace at home not long before we played Villa in the cup. He was honestly a really nice bloke! I enjoyed talking to him. I always felt bad for ripping him ever since then .
Kitchandro Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 He slept with my girlfriend. Slept with Walshie's girlfriend? Must have had a death wish! Oh, and pics or GTFO
The Doctor Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 He slept with my girlfriend. Momo? or Williams? I'm not entirely sure who we're talking about now.
Bayfox Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 I had heard wonderful things about him and how he was heading to Rangers for £4million, so when he turned up at our place I thought great, he's a decent playmaker who can control the game pick a pass, turns out it was only ever sideways, he turned out to be a poor mans jamie redknapp.
Soar Fox Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Momo? or Williams? I'm not entirely sure who we're talking about now. Williams. I don't think she would have been able to handle Momo.
