Forest fan in peace.

Your thoughts on this ex-Forest, ex-Leicester player?

End up doing serious damage to his cruciate ligament that ended his playing career at 28 while at Watford, a real shame for someone who showed great potential with us (although he was frustratingly conservative at times). How was he rated during his three years here and why was he sold?

Had ability but was a bit short in terms of being arsed.

Spot on. Infuriating really

Was one of my favorite players at the time, when i went down as a kid.

Looking back at him and the rest of the team i cant believe how bad we were. lol

The team that got relegated wasn't even as bad as the team we had back then. Gareth Williams, Stephen Hughes, Danny Tiatto, Momo Sylla, jesus christ it hurts just to think about that side. I've repressed most of the players from back then thankfully.

I had him on the back of my shirt, then I went to a signing session for his autograph only for my mate to have a pic with him instead of me.

I liked him far better than his midfield partner Stephen Hughes.

Never really rated him myself the only time I ever saw him move quick was on a Norwich train station platform when a load of city fans clocked him after another frustrating performance 😄

He was supposed to be the 'next big thing'. Turned out to be a lazy arse who could barely pass a ball straight. Overweight pretty boy. Agree, him and Hughes were two of the worst midfielders to ever play for us. We had dreadful players then. How Stephen Hughes ever formed a career anywhere is amazing, shocking awful player!

He was like a non goalscoring version of our current Mr invisible Andy King. I think the only reason why people thought he was good was because he literally looked good. Not in a gay way of course, but he was proper sexy.

On his day he was superb, his passing ability was far superior than anything in that division at the time. He just never seemed that arsed though.

Only turned up when the tv cameras were on. In my book that's worse than never turning up at all.

Agree with those who can't believe how bad we were then. You could see relegation coming from two seasons away. A slow, slow death.

Momo Sylla

Just so unbelievably shit that I actually liked him - much like, for instance, Barry Hayles.

lol

And Robbie Neilson

Yeah, but Neilson's hair was fvcking amazing.

If we're naming players that were so shit they were good, then Alan Rodgers. How did that bloke end up playing for us, during a time we were still a decent team?

Went to a Q&A with Rob Kelly who had scouted him for Blackburn and described him as "a decorator as opposed to dominator of games". Describes him (and a few others!) perfectly I think.

Had the quality but seemed lazy. Never ever misplaced a pass, in fact he was one of the best passer's of the ball I have seen. However, other aspects of his game let him down. I do like him as a footballer though, and he should be in a Championship side at least now.

Although I wanted him to play for Leicester, he should have never left Nottingham Forest. He had everything there, I mean, wasn't he captain? He was a fine player though. We didn't play to his strengths - the long ball game wasn't his game, he was a midfielder that wanted it at his feet.

Shamefully wasted his natural talent any more laid back and he would have been horizontal.
