Sorry to go slightly off topic Leicester fans, but is the Kayal restaurant decent, and what are the Shed and Donkey bars like?

The Shed is exactly what it says on the tin, an absolute Shed, plus it's on the wrong side of town. Donkey is a bit closer, never been there before. Id stick to the pubs people have suggested

Kayal is a decent eating place, dont think it's cheap though

Even from Saturday evening Mr Spam? Looking for some decent bars to go with my missus. Live music would be a bonus, hence why I mentioned those places.

Kayal is cracking. I've not been to the Leicester one, I've been to the Nottingham one. It's tradional Keralan cuisine and very, very different to a normal curry house. If you're after a more run-of-the-mill curry, we have loads of great places for that.

The Shed is more of a live music venue than a bar.

Ah ok, Leicesters a bit crap for live music at the moment tbh, after The Charlotte closed down bands just tend to not come here any more. bound to be alot going on in the city center on a saturday night though. Theres a place called Sumo on braunstone gate that sometimes has decent live music, it's a bit of a coin toss though. Leicester catering a lot for students now, so nightlife is generally either ultimate cheese, or drum and bass and dubstep nights.

Just go into the city centre and have a wander around, plenty to choose from to suit most tastes and ages.

I picked out Kayal because it appeared to be a bit different to a 'normal' curry house.

Thanks to all for your feedback, don't get across to England for football as much as I would like so a 4th round FA Cup tie away in a place I have never been before has really whet the appetite!

Been looking forward to this since the draw was made... Nice and local for me! Was hoping you'd get past Forest, Leicester is a new one for me, and Forest fans bore me to tears (we've won 2 European cups don't you know ZZzzzZZZZzzzzZZZ).... Looking forward to a day when there's no pressure on us to get a result (and I dont think we will), so we can just enjoy ourselves with a few beers pre-match and then a good sing-song in the ground as the lads (hopefully) put up a decent account of themselves.

Might sneak a draw if, if you underestimate us... but I'll go for a 3-1 to you.... At least we'll have a goal to go nuts over if that happens!

Until tomorrow...
