Foreign Red Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 Hi all, Just a quick update. Swindon had sold 3,500 tickets as at close of business Wednesday. Really looking forward to Saturday, should be a good match. And staying overnight so looking forward to trying out the UK's finest currys in the evening. Of course they would taste nicer if we win, but its going to be a tough ask!
jonlcfc1990 Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 How confident are you of taking the remaining allo?
lcfc1994 Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 i think we could have one or two more players by saturday
Foreign Red Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 How confident are you of taking the remaining allo? I'd guess to guess that it'll be around the 4k mark. I think that we have 800 ish tickets remaining but doubt we'll need anymore. 4,200 max I would say. Where will we be sitting, behind the goal or are we in a corner?
lcfc1994 Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 Oh so have Villa told us not to use him? no its rules of the FA, delfouneso can play because he didnt appear for villa in the fa cup
Captain... Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 Oh so have Villa told us not to use him? That would be odd, seeing as we have potentially 4 FA cup ties (with replays) while he is with us, and they want him to have games, I haven't seen anything official about it I think people are getting confused between DD and ND, or just assuming he is cup tied, he certainly didn't play in the last round, unless the BBC is wrong again. Anyway Villa will lose to Arsenal on Monday.
Horace Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 Leicester just told Swindon that there will be no "away" ticket sales on the day. Expect a little rush for them at Swindon now, still stand by my earlier prediction of 3500 - 4000. Still that's pretty good probably reaching more than 50% of home average. Imagine very few Championship sides bring that many. Would be interesting to know the numbers for them, it'll probably show that the league doesn't quite have the pulling power of a good old fashioned cup tie, despite it's so called importance. Why are all your fans getting worried about loan players not being able to play, or clamouring for more signings before the weekend. Getting worried ???
jonlcfc1990 Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 This is a waffle Forum this what we do waffle about players tactics formations allocations waffle away I don't think any LCFC fan is worried we're just pointing out that we might not have 7 subs available which would be a shame. As for players before Saturday it's just another topic of debate 3,500 is great support i hope you can push it to 5,000 your right not a lot of teams in the champ manage that but a lot don't get the allocation thats the glory of the FA cup. I got my ticket today and by the looks of it we are on track to sell out so it will be a full house :scarf:
SwindonRed Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 You're in the corner mate. It's very steep in the corner. Sat there a few years ago, a bit scary to be truthful. I'm informed it is not like that around the sides. Some OAPs had to be moved to lower levels at the said game, they were really scared. For this reason I have brought my ticket at the bottom.

You should go to St james park it's MAD! seriously you can't see the game you see over the rest of the ground high? it's impossible to understand why they stick fans up there
SwindonRed Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 Unless we draw them in a cup competition, chances are slim to go to St James's. Are you serious about the game being a sell-out for Leicester fans, very surprised, thought 18,000 crowd would be the max.

Should make for a proper cup tie atmosphere!
jonlcfc1990 Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 I'm pretty sure we've sold a lot around 19k
jonlcfc1990 Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 the ground holds 32,500 take away your 5000 your left with 27,500 take away two blocks for "segregation" Your looking at about 25K for leicester fans to fill i'd say we've sold 20k so far
MANFACE Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 Should be a good match. I did go to the Play-Off finals against Swindon, god, that 19 years ago, I must be getting old............ Edit: Just to add, the atmosphere at wembley that day after we scored the third equalising goal has never been matched. You listen to it on You-Tube. Leicester City fans took the roof down, pity we lost. It was still one of the best days of my life.

They always have a live game on the TVs, providing there is an early kick off scheduled. It does get quite busy, but that's expected. Players to watch: Everyone because were MASSIVE.

Further into the city centre I don't think you should have much trouble. As for parking, it's pretty much street parking wherever you can get off the main roads heading into the city, just watch out for parking restrictions as the council have been rolling out residents schemes. There are also surface car parks around the stadium usually priced at £5.
