broughtonblue Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 sick of turning on the news every day and all it is is news of women wanting 'faulty' breast implants changed and swapped at the tax payers expense. if these operations were carried out for medical reasons then fair enough i wouldn't mind my taxes being used to rectify the problem. but if it is just to help 'vain' women who had the surgery to help them 'look' better then i think they should have to pay for replacement surgery or shut up
Yojoe36 Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 You gotta think this through though mate. The porn industry costs like 1bill in the UK. Imagine how much it would decrease Just saying
acooling08 Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 I hope these news stories scare women into not having implants, I personally find plastic boobs very unattractive. I am not really clued up on the story, surely the company who provided the faulty implants or performed the surgery should pay, not taxpayers?
Rincewind Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 the supplying company has gone broke. Their finances have gone tits up then?
dave the caveman Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I actually kind of like the way we have dealt with this in the UK. The French were like "oh ok yeah the taxpayers will pay for you to have them removed ok feel better now? meanwhile we were like "**** off you stupid bint. Get a loan if you're that worried. They look like shit anyway you old hag, just stfu and die already we don't give a crap."

Zingari Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I wonder if I can convince them that i've had breast implants and get them to take a bit off
dave the caveman Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Your compassion is an example to us all. Wonder how much solace my kids would find in compassion when I tell them I can no longer afford to feed them after income tax has been increased to pay for ludicrous nonsense such as this.
ozleicester Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Their finances have gone tits up then? Guess they felt the squeeze
Phube Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Guess they felt the squeeze And yet everyone thought their balance sheet was looking perky...
Jon the Hat Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Wonder how much solace my kids would find in compassion when I tell them I can no longer afford to feed them after income tax has been increased to pay for ludicrous nonsense such as this. Quite right, it will be much cheaper to wait until they all have cancer from the non-medical grade silicone, and treat that instead! Oh, and the reason the French government look like they might pay is that their regulatory body failed to spot the problem and certified the product.
AdamN Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 sick of turning on the news every day and all it is is news of women wanting 'faulty' breast implants changed and swapped at the tax payers expense. Yep! I'm surprised they manage to squeeze this tidal wave of tit-stories into a half an hour slot every day. If only there were more important things to worry about!
Orkneyfox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I've been trying to keep abreast of this topic but....

I am not really clued up on the story, surely the company who provided the faulty implants or performed the surgery should pay, not taxpayers? That sums it up nicely.
Zingari Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Pun filled threads may have plenty of knockers, but i find i them quite titillating .

Guest ttfn Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I don't understand why this story is still in the news. It affects such a minute proportion of society, but has been in the news 2 or 3 times a week for the last 2 months. The worst example of "first world problems".
Zingari Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Indeed. Fun-bags for all yes they can leave us with plenty of happy mammaries
