Jace Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 We were 5 but due to todays matches we are now 7 so at the time we were 5

Guest Col city fan Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Reading won today thats why we are now 7 points off the play-offs Amazing really that we are only 7 points off.. We can make those up surely? Still need the strength in depth though..
Jace Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 We were only 5 points really because Birmingham had played a game less than everyone and were in 6th place we are way off easily possible though if we continue our current form
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Amazing really that we are only 7 points off.. We can make those up surely? Still need the strength in depth though.. We can still make the gap up, but we need a long unbeaten run with plenty of wins Yes defo need strength in depth, hopefully a couple of last minute signing early next week?
Socks Posted 28 January 2012 Author Posted 28 January 2012 i get it being dumb i take it reading wont play this week then??
Ultra Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 No, they rearranged their midweek game to today. We still have 7 places to make up, so we need to put a run of league wins together. That won't be easy, especially with the fixtures coming up next month.
Proud_Fox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 We just have to keep winning and see where it takes us. They is alot of ground to make up and it would be unfair on Nigel to demand play offs now I havent given up but it might be a too big of an ask
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 We just have to keep winning and see where it takes us. They is alot of ground to make up and it would be unfair on Nigel to demand play offs now I havent given up but it might be a too big of an ask i just think we have to be realistic, if we put a decent run together anything is possible but if we go back to our inconsistent ways we have no chance
acooling08 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 We need to average about 2 points a game to sneak in 6th I reckon. Difficult but doable. A few more league wins in the next few fixtures and suddenly we'll be a win away from the Play Offs.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I think we will beat Boro, close game but they are a good team and hard to beat, though they have been a bit dodgy of late. Think if we can get somethuing at Brighton and then beat Cardiff too we will have more than a chance of the PO's
foxes2011 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 5 straight wins in the league and we would be jumping for joy and right back in it we need to go on a run like we did with sven last season. we have 19 games left. i think to get playoffs we need to win about 10 of those games 0r less wins but get draws. the least that we need is to lose as few games as possible as long as we win or draw were getting points.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Go on an unbeaten run for 5 games, win 4 of them and we'll be within a point or two of the POs. Simples
Guest Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Typical Leicester would be to go on a great run and move into 6th only to lose two or three at the end of the season.
stfcinbmth Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Amazing really that we are only 7 points off.. We can make those up surely? Still need the strength in depth though.. You can make it up if you keep winning consistantly Norwich is winnable especially if they do the Premier League up their own arse thingy of resting players as Wigan found out to their cost. Go do it, love to see Premier League sides getting beat by the minions
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Need a good run of wins to have any chance.
Dan Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I would love to know what percentage of the last 2 years has been spent 3-7 points outside the play-offs. Bet you're talking a good 80% and even that's only down to Sousa. It's unbelievable.
Guy Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 We were only 5 points really because Birmingham had played a game less than everyone and were in 6th place we are way off easily possible though if we continue our current form I reckon Birmingham represent the biggest threat to us if we are now indeed going to embark on a good run and try and play catch up to claim one of the two automatic promotion spots as people tipped us to in August. The Blues appear to have clicked at just the right time and Chris Hughton has been there and done it just two years ago with Newcastle at this level of course. I hope I'm wrong of course!
ozleicester Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 We just have to keep winning and see where it takes us. They is alot of ground to make up and it would be unfair on Nigel to demand play offs now I havent given up but it might be a too big of an ask Its not being demanded now... that was his job when he came in. Svens was Auto promotion, when the owners decided that wasnt going to happen, they bought NP Back, as he, and they, and pretty much everyone said, his remit was... playoffs. This is not a surprise or added pressure.
Danno Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 IMO most clubs have had their peak in form too early, and if we get wins together in the next few weeks we will be there or there abouts.
Bayfox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 If we can get a decent return in the next few games, ie a win vs boro, win at brighton and maybe at least a point vs cardiff, we will be back in the mix, as we will have gone unbeaten but also it's taking points of the clubs above or around us.
