yorkie1999 Posted 6 February 2012 Posted 6 February 2012 Watched man u chelsea yesterday, how come rooney doesn't get sent off for foul and abusive language. he was yelling f**king C**t at the ref and it was clear as day on the tv, bet no one is even bothered. Double standards.

Bayfox Posted 6 February 2012 Posted 6 February 2012 If the officials are now claiming foul and abusive language, then I can confirm we have been done, as I was in that corner of the ground and the linesman made a kicking/stamping gesture to the ref, to imply Beckford had used his foot, so if anyone knows of any replays that show this maybe sending them to the club or FA, would help.

I've just watched the Beckford sending off on the Brighton website, it's a nothing incident that the linesman reports to the ref, hyping it up in every way. The ref saw nothing and took the linesman's word resulting in a punishment that was out of all proportion to the offence, such as it was. The somewhat nonplussed reaction of the home commentators says it all really.

In this case the linesman flags for something only he seems to have seen or heard & the ref takes his word and sends Becks off ......... Last Wednesday the linesman flags for something everyone sees (but the ref) ie...SSL get maliciously elbowed (for the third time by the same player)drawing blood in the process,only for the ref to practically ignore it by not even cautioning him !!! What are we supposed to think ?????

Think I saw this too. I didnt see a kick, only a tug on the Brighton players shirt to tell him to get up.
